‼️ IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM ADRIZ PHOTOGRAPHY‼️

As a photographer, I absolutely LOVE capturing your families, your children and the special moments you trust me to preserve. But as a mother and a photographer, protecting our children will ALWAYS come before promoting my business.

Effective IMMEDIATELY, Adriz Photography will no longer publicly show the identifiable faces of clients under the age of 18 on my business social media pages.

When I share images featuring minors, their faces will be respectfully blurred, covered, cropped out, or concealed with a small/cute graphic. Parents will, of course, still receive their beautiful photographs normally and without these coverings in their private galleries. 🤍

Recent court cases, including discussions coming from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit involving technology and child sexual-abuse imagery, have been another reminder for me of how quickly technology is evolving and how seriously we need to think about where children’s images can end up once they are online.

Unfortunately, we cannot control who screenshots, saves, shares, alters, or misuses an image once it has been posted publicly.

I never want a parent to have to wonder, “Who has my child’s picture?”

This is not because I am ashamed to showcase my work—I am incredibly proud of every session I photograph. This decision simply means that protecting a child’s identity is more important to me than having another photograph on my feed.

I hope my fellow photographers, small-business owners and parents will also take a moment to think about how we share images of children online.

Their safety is worth the extra step. 🫶🏼
