My most ridiculous paisano capo buddy Aureleo Rosano has a birthday this weekend, TANTI SALUTI to the Maestro I say!! If you haven’t read about his mythic cross-continent roadtrip in the 60s across America on an Italian scooter that topped out at 43mph, I highly recommend you check out: SCOOT ACROSS THE USA. Chronicling the mental and geographical peregrinations of a vagabond artist in search of: you tell me! I’m getting ready to launch a 2-wheeled Latin American adventure myself, and this Rosano character is definitely an “Inspirazione” (as they say in Ragusa) :)

As a young man, Aureleo Rosano embarked on a mythic odyssey crossing the United States on an Italian Lambretta scooter over the course of many months. This is the tale of that insane adventure.

My delightful friend Rubina Gallo passed away a few weeks ago suddenly in Tucson. She was always so creative and supportive to fellow artists and full of life and kindness to me and my Mom. She is truly missed 😕 Her daughter Giada wrote a lovely obituary, give it a read and have a cappuccino and a smile thinking on Rubina's life and passions. Rubina Gallo was born in Oak Park Illinois January 30th 1940, she passed away August 4th, 2020. The date marks two days before her 54th Wedding Anniversary to my late father Joseph Gallo.
