15 Years in the Making & 1 Year in Business 📸

What began as a high school obsession with America’s Next Top Model became the foundation for a dream that would take 15 years to fully realize.

At 17, I bought my first camera through payments from another high school student. I had no business plan just a desire to learn. I began photographing girls I believed could model, even when they didn’t yet see it in themselves. One of the first girls I photographed was signed with an agency using the images I created.

Over the years, photography became a paid hobby while I built a career in marketing, continuing to use my eye for photography and visual storytelling.

Then, last year, everything changed.

After a season of loss, I picked up my camera again and decided to return to what had always brought me joy. I moved my full-time job to part-time and committed to building Shiplett Media as a real business.

One year later, I can see the fruit of all those quiet years of learning, creating, and believing.

One year in business.
Fifteen years in the making.
And this is only the beginning.

To every client, model, referral, and person who trusted me with their photos, thank you.
