, I have pursued digital photography, training in cities like Paris and New York, and earning a Master of Photography Diploma under Serge Ramelli. My camera has taken me across Europe, Africa, Asia, and North America, always seeking to balance creativity with evolving technology. My photography journey took on a profoundly deeper meaning eight years ago, when my wife was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. Our travels together became a way to find peace and beauty in the midst of caregiving. As her disease progressed, each adventure required careful planning and unwavering attention, but these journeys allowed us to stay connected and savor life together. Photography became my sanctuary, a way to cope, reflect, and find purpose. In the early days, I found solace along the Chicago lakefront, capturing the interplay of city and water. Today, my wife requires full-time care and resides in a memory care facility near the cities where we both grew up. While our days of traveling together have ended, photography remains a constant in my life. Weekly visits with her are bittersweet, but photograph continues to bring me immense joy. Each photograph I create is a tribute to resilience, love, and the enduring human spirit. My journey as an Alzheimer’s caregiver has shaped my art and my outlook, reminding me to seek beauty, even in the darkest times. I continue to pledge a percentage of my earnings to the Alzheimer’s Association, using my images to raise awareness and foster understanding for those affected by this disease. I hope my story inspires others facing similar challenges to find their own ways to cope, and to always look for the light - one step, and one photograph, at a time. Afternoon at Brant Point is one of those Nantucket moments that reminds me why I keep returning to the coast. The harbor setting, the historic lighthouse, and the soft daylight all work together to create a scene that feels both peaceful and deeply rooted in place. Brant Point has long guided mariners into Nantucket Harbor, and its history gives the image a sense of continuity that I really enjoy. There’s something especially satisfying about photographing a landmark like this in a way that lets the broader landscape breathe around it.

Diana’s Baths in North Conway has long been a favorite destination for people drawn to the beauty of the White Mountains. In early spring, the water returns with energy, flowing over the stone ledges and creating a scene that feels fresh and alive. Black and white photography brings out the textures and contrast in a way that suits this location especially well. The result is an image that feels more meditative than descriptive, focusing on the enduring character of the landscape rather than seasonal color. The White Mountains have a deep history of travel and retreat, and Diana’s Baths remains one of the places where that tradition still feels present.

Grand Canal Venice - Monochrome

The Grand Canal is one of Venice’s most recognizable and historically important waterways. For centuries, it served as the city’s main corridor for commerce, transport, and daily life, and it remains one of the clearest expressions of Venice’s unique identity. In black and white, the scene takes on a more sculptural quality. The façades, reflections, and movement across the water all become part of a quieter visual rhythm. I like how monochrome reduces the image to its essential structure while still preserving the sense of place and history that makes Venice so remarkable.
