A public civil ceremony at San Francisco City Hall is simple, intimate and surprisingly elegant. Your ceremony takes place on the beautiful second floor rotunda, surrounded by soaring marble columns, grand architecture and incredible natural light that make every moment feel timeless.

Your officiant will guide you through a short ceremony lasting about 4 to 5 minutes. You'll exchange vows, say "I do" and exchange rings. A total of 6 guests are welcome to witness your ceremony, creating a warm and personal atmosphere while other City Hall visitors quietly admire the celebration.

Although the ceremony is brief, the experience feels unforgettable. Before and after your ceremony, you will have access to the building, including the Grand Staircase and elegant balconies.

Very important TIP as you are searching for the right SF City Hall photographer for your wedding day. Do NOT choose a photographer based only on a social media page or Instagram presence. Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life and you deserve someone with real experience, professionalism and consistency.
These are the 3 things a wedding photographer MUST have to be considered:
1. A professional website
A real business should have a full website showcasing complete weddings, pricing information, testimonials and consistent work across many different lighting situations and venues.
2. Real reviews from real couples
Look for strong reviews on platforms like Google, Yelp or WeddingWire. Consistent 5 star reviews over many years tell you far more than a viral Instagram reel ever will.
3. Experience handling real wedding days
A wedding moves fast (especially at City Hall) and things do not always go perfectly. You want someone who knows how to manage the building, difficult lighting, family dynamics and unexpected moments without stress.

There is something truly special about weddings where two cultures come together. This beautiful Indian wedding at Nella Terra Cellars was filled with vibrant colors, meaningful traditions, incredible details and so much love. From the stunning floral garlands and intricate mehndi designs to the emotional moments shared between family and friends, every part of the day told a unique story.

One of the things I love most about photographing weddings like this is seeing how traditions are honored while creating something completely personal to the couple. The rich colors of the saree, the elegant ceremony details and the peaceful garden setting at Nella Terra Cellars made every moment unforgettable.

How did you exit your wedding?

One of my favorite parts of the entire wedding day is the grand exit. It’s the final moment of the night, everyone is cheering, emotions are high and it’s usually when couples can finally take a deep breath and just enjoy the moment together.
