I've just recently reactivated this page and have missed interactions with my clients and followers. I wanted to reach out and give an update on where I have been and where I plan to go with my business.
After a very tumultuous year in 2015 I had decided to stop taking on clients and become a Stay-at-Home Mom. For those following me during that time you may remember that after experiencing fertility issues and a miscarriage in 2014, I became pregnant with my daughter, Willa. I had returned to my old job to fill in for a very dear friend and coworker who had passed suddenly from Cancer. I experienced a very high risk pregnancy due to hyperemesis gravidarum. I had a feeding tube and picc line while remaining hospitalized or under home health care.I had to stop filling in at my old job, cancel weddings and portrait sessions. It was a very difficult time. When my daughter was born she spent ten days in NICU. My father was in very poor health and my son was unable to attend school due to his struggle with Tourette Syndrome. Just as I thought I was catching a breath at the beginning of 2016, my husband took a job offer that meant we would be moving.
All of this lead me to the decision to put my business on hold while I took care of my family. I have really enjoyed that time but my baby girl will be starting school in the fall and I foresee some changes ahead for me.
I would like to use this page to post passion projects until the time when I am ready to start taking on clients again. I want to keep my skills sharp and and learn new techniques. I want to be creative and have fun. I'm so happy with a camera in my hand and I look forward to what is to come. I've rekindled my love of Eastern Kentucky where I was born and lived until first grade. I've discovered a group of family and friends in the local music scene. I'm finally embracing the fact that I am an artist and have the need to create.
For those of you who have read this far... I hope you will join me on this journey. I am currently located an hour from Elizabethtown in Midway, KY just as a point of reference for my former clients.
Thank you for your support!
