Though I’ve now been doing photography for several years, I still feel as though I am new to it. I enjoy capturing life moments in front of my lens. My style is less portrait and more “life.”

As a wife, mom to busy kids, and a teacher, photography is something I do on the side as a creative outlet. My available hours are tied to our schedules. As such, it’s never too early to reach out to sched

I don't think there will be a baby as loved and spoiled absolutely rotten as the one that is about to burst into the world with these two. I know a lot of grandmas, aunties, uncles, cousins, second cousins, and on and on who will oooh and aaah over this bundle. I'm so glad we were able to do these photos!

There is something just sweet about returning to a family's home year after year to capture photos of their growing family. I was so happy to capture precious Baby Owen, Amelia so close to her birthday, and to see Olivia riding her brand new very big girl bike. I remember when my own relationship with Wade was young - where the simple graze of a finger was electric and gave breath to the hope of love.

When reading, you mentally kick your feet when characters' arms brush against one another or hands are held.

Those are moments of connection. They matter. They linger.

Those same little moments caught my eye as I spent time with Iesha and Chad. It was sweet, and I pray those moments of connection never fade as they grow old together.

I was blessed enough to have worked with Iesha for a brief time while she was the GT teacher at Creekside. I am so thankful for that for many reasons. One, she left a lasting impression on my Emma. But, also, it afforded me the opportunity to bear witness as she and Chad made their union official today. Congratulations and best wishes!!!! Today was just perfect!! My husband, Wade, works with Hamza. When Hamza asked if I could take photos at his and Basmala's engagement party, I was a little nervous. I've met Hamza a handful of times, and he's great. He's fun loving and easy to talk to. However, I had never met Basmala. Yet, simply sending texts over the weeks leading up to the party put my nerves at ease.

I mean, how can you not immediately adore a complete stranger who sends you prayers and well-wishes for a big test you have to take?

Simply put, Basmala is wonderful. She is beautiful, yes, but her heart surpasses even that.

Spending this day with them and their families was nothing short of joyful. There was so much laughter, so many people helping one another out, and just such happiness.

Then came the dancing!

I love watching people in their joy, so I stood back in awe of it all. Each heartfelt greeting. Each kiss on a cheek. Each hug. Each smile. Each glance at Basmala and Hamza. Each clap and stamp in time with the beat. It was humbling and beautiful.
