🚨 Another young entrepreneur you need to support!

We finally tried Gigi's Sweets , and everything was 🔥.

🍓 The Strawberry Crunch Tres Leches completely changed my mind about tres leches. It reminded me of childhood with that strawberry crunch ice cream flavor.

🍪 The S'mores Cookie was soft, gooey, and that marshmallow pull... 10/10!

🥮 And that Churro Malasada?! Whatever filling Miss Gigi put in there... I need the recipe because it was SO GOOD!

Catch Gigi at local pop-up events and make sure you follow her page to see where she'll be popping up next.

Okay y’all got me.

Not only is this protein ice cream actually good, but the story behind it is what really got me.

The owner, came up with the idea while serving time. What started as a way to get more protein in using limited ingredients turned into a full-blown business after his release. Instead of letting a difficult chapter define him, he turned it into something positive and created a brand that’s now growing across California and beyond. That’s a comeback story you have to respect 🤎🖤

As someone who recently had weight loss surgery and has to be intentional about getting my protein in every day, finding products that help me hit my goals without feeling like I’m missing out is a win.

And let’s be honest, sometimes you just want ice cream.

California Ice Protein gives me that summertime ice cream feeling while helping me get my protein in, and that’s something I can definitely get behind.

Great product. Great mission. Great reminder that your current situation doesn’t have to determine your future.

If you’re looking for a fun way to sneak in some extra protein, this might be worth checking out. Like we always say, check them out for yourself and let us know what you think.

POV: You take your husband out for Father’s Day breakfast and suddenly become the third wheel. 😂

The kids and I treated my husband to an early Father’s Day breakfast at in Napa, and let me tell you... the real love story was between him and that giant French toast. 🍞❤️

I swear I wasn't even there. Just sitting back watching him fall head over heels, eyes rolling back, making all kinds of happy food noises, and completely forgetting the rest of us existed. 😂

Safe to say the French toast stole the show and won Father’s Day breakfast.

Have you ever had a meal so good it made you forget everything else around you? 👀

Stay tuned for more from George and Kin because we're just getting started. We have plenty more delicious dishes, beautiful views, and foodie finds to share. 👀✨

✨ June VSG Update Continued ✨

One thing I’ve realized during this journey is that this surgery was never really about weight loss for me. It was about my health, my diverticulitis, and reducing inflammation in my body.

The weight loss has been a great bonus, but the biggest change has been my relationship with food.

I’m starting to lose some of the emotional attachment I had to certain foods that don’t really fit into my new lifestyle anymore. And honestly, that’s been a little sad at times.

Food has always been connected to family, culture, celebrations, comfort, and even my career. So learning to enjoy food differently has definitely been an adjustment.

But even with those emotions, I’m happy I got the surgery.

I feel better. I’m healthier. And for the first time in a long time, I feel like I’m doing what’s best for my body.

43 pounds down and still trusting the process.

We love supporting young entrepreneurs, and .cafecitos_pastries is one you definitely need to check out! 👏💜

This teen entrepreneur is working hard, chasing her dreams, and building something special through her small business. We stopped by and tried the Lavender Matcha Latte, while my teen grabbed the Banana Matcha Latte and a slice of Chocolate Banana Bread. Everything was made with care, and you can tell there's a lot of passion behind what she's creating.

It takes courage to start a business at any age, but especially as a teenager. Let's show our youth that their dreams matter and that their community is behind them. If you're looking for a place to grab a drink, a sweet treat, or simply want to support the next generation of business owners, make Maites Cafesitos & Pastries your next stop.

Give her a follow, tag a friend who loves supporting small businesses, and stop by to show her some love. Every follow, share, purchase, and positive review helps a young entrepreneur get one step closer to her goals. 💕☕️

🥔 Last year's 2nd Place Potato Salad winner? Meet Lauren Keltz from Foundations Vallejo 👏🏽🔥

We caught up with Lauren and talked about her experience in the 707 Week Cook Off, the connections she made from being part of the competition, and the confidence she gained by putting herself out there.

What I love about Lauren's story is that the Cook Off wasn't just about food. It helped her build relationships, grow her confidence, and take the next step in her journey. Since then, she's opened not one, but TWO businesses of her own. 👏🏽❤️

Stories like this are exactly why I love the 707 Week Cook Off. You never know where one opportunity, one conversation, or one event can lead.

Now I gotta know, what's something you've done that pushed you out of your comfort zone and ended up changing your life? 👀

✨ June Surgery Update ✨

It’s been a little over 3 months since my VSG surgery and today I’m down 43 pounds.

I feel good. I have more energy, my inflammation is better, and I’m learning what works for my body.

And before anyone asks… yes, I’m still a plus size girly and I’m perfectly okay with that. This journey was never about becoming skinny. It was about improving my health, reducing my diverticulitis flare ups, and feeling better in my own skin.

I’m taking it one day at a time, focusing on protein, hydration, movement, and healing.

43 pounds down and still trusting the process.

Follow along for more updates on my weight loss and healing journey.

One thing about us, we're always down to try food from different cultures, and and did not disappoint. ❤️

It was also so much fun hosting this foodie meet-up with .nora . There's nothing better than bringing food lovers together, making new connections, and sharing amazing food and experiences with great people.

We ordered the Picadillo Pasta, Pollo Asado Pasta, Mofongo, and the Pollo Picado Egg Rolls.

Now let me tell you about my kids... they don't even like pasta (I don't know why because pasta is life 😂). They're rice kids through and through, so they ate every single piece of Tito's pollo and left the noodles for us 🙌🏼🙌🏾🔥.

The real surprise for me was the mofongo. I've had mofongo before and honestly thought it just wasn't my thing. Then I tried Chef Eric's version and whew... I finally got it. It was flavorful, comforting, and made with so much love that you could taste it in every bite. It completely changed my mind about the dish.

And those Pollo Picado Egg Rolls? Chicken, cheese, crispy goodness... say less. If there's an egg roll on Tito's menu, I'm probably ordering it. 😂

You can truly feel the love and care that goes into their cooking, and that's what makes a meal memorable.

Food is our love language. ❤️

What a night! 🍽️✨

We had an amazing time hosting the Comidazo Pop Up Foodie Meet Up at Alamar Kitchen in Oakland with .nora . From incredible food and meaningful conversations to networking with fellow foodies, creators, and entrepreneurs, this was exactly what community is all about.

Good food, good people, great energy, and plenty of new connections made throughout the night. Thank you to everyone who came out, shared a meal, and helped create such a positive atmosphere.

Food really does bring people together. ❤️

Like we always say, check them out for yourself and let us know what you think.
