We want to give a very big thank you to all of our artists and customers who came to celebrate 25 years of DragonFire at the Spring Unveiling Arts Festival. It's a wrap! Spring art unveiling was a blast and very well attended, even on the sunny days!
I just want to extend a heartfelt "thank you" to all those that came out to enjoy the weekend and stopped by to chat with me in the gallery!

Sneak peek! This is my newest work, titled simply "Double Space."

I play with water. For those new to my work, this is one shot, not two pictures combined. I do minimal photoshopping such as lightning or sharpening. These are two to three drops of OCEAN water colliding-- collisions happen too fast for our eye to see, but the camera captures it. I basically use an eye dropper and "drop, click, let the water still and repeat."

It is very challenging but I strive to capture the true personality of the water. I am self taught and have been doing water drop photography for 18 years ( since 2008).

It's art festival weekend coming up! Cannon Beach spring art unveiling will be here in 6 days! I will be at Dragonfire limited hours, doing a small demo. All the galleries will be open-- talk to the artist, pick up a glass of wine at the door and some bites to eat in the gallery. Lots of fun! Hope to see you there :-)

Happy Groundhog Day!

ABOUT: in 2025, the shadow was seen, auguring six more weeks of winter. Groundhog Day is a tradition observed regionally in the United States and Canada on February 2 of every year. It derives from the Pennsylvania Dutch superstition that if a groundhog emerges from its burrow on this day and sees its shadow, it will retreat to its den and winter will go on for six more weeks; if it does not see its shadow, spring will arrive early.

The gallery is hopping this weekend!! Always great to see you Bucky and hear you sing 😁💕 Nice meeting so many new visitors to the gallery (shout out to Scott and Sarah!) Happily sharing this photograph now—“Twilight Flight!” This is a brand new piece, and debuted and sold at the Spring Art Unveiling festival weekend. I love the subtle blues, the drop shape, the feel to the picture… This is also made with Cannon Beach ocean water and is one capture (not two pictures combined).

Not manipulated. Minimal work in Photoshop (sharpen, lighten, etc.).

Print and certificate of authentication—$130. Size is 12x18, professionally printed, and fits in a standard 18x24 frame. Can be mailed flat, though USPS. Message me to inquire further.

Without further ado, here is one of my most recent pics, which my daughter named “Bird on a Wire,” since it seems to be resting on the wire between the weathered fence boards. It is Cannon Beach ocean water, which is fun to work with such salty water (and as usual—it is a single capture, not manipulated in Photoshop). Some people see a cup being poured out.

Sold within the first two days of the festival, at Dragonfire Gallery.

Print and certificate of authentication—$130. Size is 12x18, professionally printed, and fits in a standard 18x24 frame. Can be mailed flat, though USPS. Message me to inquire further.
