STOP and read this one. I will keep it short I promise. Today I celebrate 4 years of a new life. Four years ago I received a kidney transplant and I got my life back. I seldom post stuff so stick with me a few more minutes. I am no viral sensation but I have my small handful of followers I want all of you that have enjoyed anything I have shared in the last 4 years to take a pause and think. My image didn’t have to change your life, didnt have to blow your mind, but if you got the slightest tingle of joy from one of my posts in the last four years imagine that I didn’t have that donor and that new life. That would equal one less tingle of joy in a world that needs every tingle we can get. I am not asking you to take action, I just want you to stop and consider that all of you can contribute to helping add more joy out there If you are not an organ/tissue donor think about doing it. I am living proof you will change someone’s world and in turn add more joy to world that can be very sad at times. If you are an organ donor make sure your family knows your wishes, don’t make them try to figure that out in those tough moments. Throw back to December. I hit up Cockspur Island Lighthouse near Savanah GA. The weather did not cooperate at all but I tried to make the best of it. I didn’t walk away with many good shots, but at least I got a nice hike out of it.

“The Cockspur Island Lighthouse is the smallest lighthouse in Georgia and ceased operation as an active beacon in 1909. Cockspur’s first brick tower, used as a daymark, was built between March 1837 and November 1839. Situated on an islet off of the southeastern tip of Cockspur Island, the lighthouse has seen its share of tragedies, from a 30-hour siege during the Civil War to several hurricanes. Fort Pulaski National Monument has closed the Cockspur Island Lighthouse and Cockspur Island due to ongoing preservation efforts. An overlook trail at Fort Pulaski offers visitors the best chance to get a closer look at the lighthouse.”

The fog was laying heavy as I was exploring the inlet. There was not many photographic opportunities along my journey, until this guy decided to do a little posing for me. The foggy atmosphere created the perfect backdrop.
