This Saturday I will be participating in the largest event I have ever done! Nearly 400 vendors, music and food. It covers several square blocks in downtown McDonough.
I will be on Dunn St. about in the middle of the street. Please stop by and say hi and maybe spell me for a short break if you're there.

Join us May 16, 2026 from 9am to 5pm at McDonough Square for the Geranium Festival featuring vendors, food, shopping, and family fun.

A few pictures from a wonderful place that we found this week. I don't know how we missed it this long.
Collier's Greenhouse & Garden Center in Jackson is remarkable! Starter plants for vegetables or flowers, potted plants, and hanging plants, succulents, orchids, & unusual house plants and beautiful blooming bushes. The live eucalyptus tree in the greenhouse is stunning! It looks ancient. I was thrilled they had small eucalyptus plants for sale for a fair price. I'm the proud new owner of one.
In addition, they have a cat rescue and a variety of farm animals and peacocks.
It's a wonderful destination and I hope you enjoy these pictures from there.

Funny sightings while relaxing near the woods today.
-The Tufted Titmouse in my new profile picture drying off afterwards in a tree.
-A jumping spider that hung out on my leg for a while and then on the arm of my chair.
-A Northern Cardinal illustrates the reason I never try to photograph birds on bird feeders.
-This 2" long Eastern Eyed Click Beetle flew on to the front of my T-shirt, startling me more than a little. Then it flew to the ground in front of me where it stayed for a long time.
