Looking back at my very first mini setup today and feeling so thankful for how far this journey has come. ❤️🤍💙

But more than the decorations and photos, today is about remembering the brave men and women who gave their lives for our freedom. Their sacrifice is the reason we get to enjoy moments like these with the people we love.

Praying we never take that freedom for granted.

The Lord has been speaking to me so much through His Word this week. 🙌🏻

Romans 7:21-25 (underlined below)

Jeremiah 33:3 — “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”

One of the biggest things I’m realizing is this:

I am not my own enemy.

Yes, there is a war within me between flesh and spirit, but the enemy wants us to turn inward with shame, self-hatred, condemnation, and hopelessness. He wants us fighting ourselves instead of recognizing who the real battle is against.

The sin within me is not who I truly am in Christ.

Scripture reminds us that our battle is not against flesh and blood. Satan wants to keep us trapped in cycles of defeat and focused on ourselves, while God continually calls us to fix our eyes on Him instead.

The more I seek Him, the more clarity He gives.

Thank You Lord for Your goodness, mercy, and faithfulness to pursue us, teach us, and open our eyes to the truth.

What does this verse mean to you? How do you interpret it or put it into practice?

Lately, God has really been trying to grow me in this area… if I let Him. 🤍

I’ve realized how easily I make everything about me and it's frustrating!

Am I doing enough?
Am I doing it right?
Am I growing spiritually?
Why am I still struggling with the same things?
Why do I feel like I should be farther along by now?
How can I feel so surrendered one day and so self-condemning the next?

I put so much pressure on myself sometimes. Striving for perfection. Trying to meet expectations that were never meant for me to carry in the first place.

So lately, I’ve been asking myself:

How do I fully release that to Him?

How do I truly rest in His presence and trust that my identity is fully found in Him?

Maybe this is what “be still and know” really means for me right now.

Not striving.
Not overextending myself.
Not trying to earn what Jesus already gave freely.

Just resting.
Trusting.
Surrendering.

Learning to be more like Mary and a little less like Martha 😅

I’d genuinely love to hear your thoughts today. Do you struggle with this too? Any encouragement or wisdom that’s helped you in seasons like this?
