AMJ Photography is officially back in Ohio! 🩷

As much as I’m already missing the California scenery, the Redwoods, and all the incredible places we got to explore, it feels good to be home.

Now comes the hard part… I have SO many photos to go through that I honestly don’t even know where to start! 🤭 Between the California elopement, the Redwoods, the coast, and all the adventures in between, my camera card is overflowing with memories.

I can’t wait to start sharing everything with you! Stay tuned because there is SO much California content coming your way. 🌲✨

I can officially say it… I made it.

Not because I’ve reached some huge finish line, but because I am standing over 2,000 miles from home in CALIFORNIA because of a dream I decided to chase.

When I started AMJ Photography, I had absolutely no idea where it would take me. I just knew I loved taking pictures and making people feel something when they looked back on their memories.

Now here I am, across the country, hiking through the redwoods, seeing places I’ve always wanted to see, and getting to do it all because my clients believed in me enough to trust me with their story.

That is something I will never take for granted.

There were a lot of moments where I questioned myself. A lot of late nights, learning as I went, and hoping this little business would turn into something more.

If you would have told me a few years ago that I would be in California because of photography, I would have laughed.

But here I am.

And for the first time, I can look around and think… wow. This dream really did take me farther than I ever imagined. ❤️

You may recognize these two newlyweds from a few weeks ago! 🤍

I still can’t believe I’m even typing this, but April and Travis loved me enough to fly me over 2,000 miles across the country to capture these photos for them. Like… WHAT?! 🥹

Not only did I get to photograph them saying “I do” on their wedding day, but I also got to take them into some of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen and capture the most gorgeous elopement-style portraits. And let me tell you, Fern Canyon did NOT disappoint.

One of my favorite parts of this session was getting to capture their private vows. Just the two of them, surrounded by nothing but nature, reading words they wrote straight from the heart. It was emotional, intimate, and such an honor to witness.

Some days I still have to pinch myself. This little business has taken me places I never dreamed I’d go, and it’s all because of amazing couples like these two. 🌿🤍

Side note this is where they filmed a scene in Jurassic Park 2!!

✨ AMJ Photography is hitting a brand new milestone today… WE ARE FLYING ACROSS THE COUNTRY!!! ✨

Today we’re headed to California for the very first time and I seriously cannot believe I get to say that 🥹✈️

I’ll never stop being thankful that my clients trust and support me enough to choose me to travel all the way to CA to capture their love and special moments.

Some of you may know already, but for those who don’t… this is my husband, Matt ❤️

Matt is truly one of the biggest backbones of AMJ Photography. He supports every crazy idea, every last-minute plan, every dream I come up with, and somehow always encourages me to dream even bigger. This business wouldn’t be what it is without him behind the scenes cheering me on. He actually graduated with a degree in multimedia and I have been trying SO hard to convince him to start offering video services with me 😂 So who knows… maybe this trip is the beginning of something new.👀👀👀👀

I seriously cannot wait to share this adventure with you all and show you everything we create while we’re out there!
