I’ve been a sucker for summer sessions this year. The vibrant colors, the sparkling waters, the flowy outfits, the SUN!

But I’m not shy of a little pumpkin spice. 🍁 We are going on vacation in two weeks, and by the time we get back… fall will pretty much be here! The browns, yellows, oranges… The cool nights and mild days. Sweaters, bonfires, pumpkin patches, grassy fields — I’m kinda here for it!

UNPOPULAR OPINION: Phones at weddings.

Here’s my take. I think, as long as you’re respectful and spatially aware, phone photography is totally fine at weddings. Especially when the photographer gets a sweet little snap of a loved one tuning in on FaceTime. 🥰

The truth is, your loved ones LOVE YOU, and they’re eager to share these joyous moments with everyone they know. I get it!

As long as you’re not shoving me out of my position to get photos on your iPhone 15, I have no tiff with phones being out! With the right amount of taste, it actually makes for really sweet memories, just like these ones. 🥰 Truly the sweetest couple and the most intimate ceremony with everyone who loves them the most. This is the best way to do it, folks!

Now… If I notice signage from the couple that clearly asks all guests to turn off their devices, and Aunt Karen is front and center with her phone out, that’s a different story. 😉

Moral of the story: respect the couple’s wishes. Unplugged ceremonies ensure the peace, but imagine looking back on these images and remembering how admired you were on your wedding day. 🤍🥲
