I’ve been asked this a few times lately: “Why are pictures so expensive?”
The truth is, you’re not just paying for the hour spent taking photos.
You’re paying for thousands of dollars in equipment, editing software and subscriptions, backup batteries and memory cards, gas to get to sessions, years of learning and experience, and most of all—the time spent behind the scenes. For every session, there are hours of culling, editing, uploading, and delivering your gallery.
And just like everyone else, photographers have bills to pay and families to support.
