Last night I had my first session of the Seen. project. I asked each participant to wear whatever they wanted / are most comfortable in. Well Emma decided to do a session that really reflected her personality but pushed her comfort level. She looks so powerful and strong and I truly couldn't love it more. These are just a few sneaks of the many photos from her session.

Thank you Emma for pushing yourself and being vulnerable. I am so proud of you.

Sitting here reading the answers to some of the pre-session questionnaires for the Seen project. And WOW. I am moved. I am excited. I am ready.

I am still looking for a few more women to participate. If you are interested or even just have some questions, please reach out. I think that if you have that spark of "maybe this is for me" then it is DEFINITELY for you.

This is a project for women who look at themselves and think, I'd be pretty if it wasn't for ________. To remind them that they are beautiful now, today. With soft bellies or stretch marks or scars. Whatever you put in that blank, I promise the people who love you most have never noticed or thought that sentence about you. The point of the project is to help you see yourself through their eyes.

I am looking for women of all ages who are willing to be vulnerable and allow me to photograph them as a whole and also focus on those parts of themselves they may not love. To show them just how beautiful they truly are. Imperfect but still breathtaking.

This is for every woman who has looked in the mirror and missed how beautiful she truly is. Do you look in the mirror and see the parts of yourself you hate? Maybe it's your arms, your crows feet, your knees, your soft belly, your grey hairs peaking through, a scar, acne. Maybe it's something else entirely.

If this sounds like you, I'd love to hear from you and take some time to explain my vision and what this project will include. This is a free session and you will receive an online gallery of your photos to use however you would like. Even if you're on the fence, please reach out. I've noticed some new friends lately so I thought an introduction might be in order!

Hi, I'm Aimee! Photographer, mom of two amazing humans and one opinionated feline, central Pennsylvania local, and a firm believer that the quiet, everyday moments deserve to be remembered just as much as the big ones, maybe more.

I've been doing this for fifteen years (professionally for five) and I still get excited about good light and real laughter. I shoot cozy indoor sessions, outdoor adventures, and a few weddings a year for couples who want something that actually feels like them.

When the camera's down you'll find me lost in a playlist, surrounded by incense smoke, writing something I may or may not ever share.
