A few senior pictures to kick off the school year. Thank you to MaKenna Carlson for being my first model, and thank you to Dale Laboratories for getting me these Hi-Res scans in less than four days. Best thing about film is that these photos are all natural.

Analog Art Photo Co. is introducing The Film Experience. People today take digital photos because in less than a second you can see your final product. They take digital photos because with a DSLR you can hold down the button and take 100 photos and find the best one later. I think people take digital photos because they don't understand Film anymore.

My goal is to change that by letting you borrow my cameras. I will buy the film, make sure everything is right for the day you plan on using it, give a quick walkthrough on how to use the camera, and then all you have to do is point and shoot. After you are finished with your photos I will handle the rest.

Film photography is about patience and intentionality, something we could all experience a little more these days. Trust me, after you take photos with film, you will want to go out and buy your own film camera. If you don't believe me, borrow one of mine and find out!

It’s been a busy few weeks but I’m back! Finally have the black and white photos from North Carolina and Waverly loaded to the website. Please go take a look! I know $50 looks like a large number but that’s for a 16x20 canvas print out. A walk down Bremer Avenue in Waverly with the Kodak S-Series S-100 finished off the last 10 exposures of the roll of Ilford HP-5 that I took to North Carolina with me.

Let me know which ones are your favorites! Mine is either the first exposure or the third to last.

The last batch of my photos from North Carolina. I took a roll of Ilford HP-5 Black & White with me on the trip. This film is known to be relatively grainy and I thought what better place to enhance that visual quality than at the beach where the sand would match that grainy feeling.

These photos capture my last two days at the beach and the trip back home with Katie Carlson. I am very impressed by the images that came from such a simple point-and-shoot Kodak S-Series S100. The only sad thing is that I did not get to use up all of the exposures on this roll in NC but did end up putting those last few exposures to good use. Those will be posted later this week, stay on the lookout.
