What a beautiful Labor Day weekend at Camp Yolijwa’s Women of Faith Retreat! I was blessed to share this wonderful experience with amazing women from our church and so many others from across Pennsylvania. My heart is full from the fellowship, worship, laughter, and renewed faith. As always, GOD IS GOOD! 🙏🏼❤️

A very special friend asked me a simple question that stopped me in my tracks:

“Have you ever considered writing a book?” 📖✨

Without even thinking, I replied:

“My story is not special enough.” 😔

Then something beautiful happened.

At Mass today, the Gospel reading was Mark 4:21–25. As I listened, it felt as though God was speaking directly to my heart.

Jesus asked:

“Is a lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? Isn’t it meant to be placed on a stand?” 💡

It was as if He gently whispered,

“Why are you hiding the light I placed within you?”

Maybe I’ve been measuring my story by the wrong standard.

My story doesn’t have to be the most dramatic, the most heartbreaking, or the most extraordinary to make a difference. If it brings hope to just one person… perhaps that’s exactly why God allowed me to live it.

Another thought stayed with me today:

He who teaches must also be teachable. 🌱

If I hope to encourage others to believe, then I must first remain willing to listen, learn, grow, and allow God’s Word to continue transforming my own heart. Jesus reminds us in Mark 4:24 to “Pay attention to what you hear.” Before we become a light for others, we must first receive His light ourselves.

Maybe that’s what The Art of Believing has always been about.

Not pretending to have all the answers…
Not claiming to be extraordinary…
But simply sharing what God has done through an ordinary life that has experienced extraordinary grace.

If my journey through cancer, healing, setbacks, joy, faith, tears, laughter, and hope helps even one person keep believing, then maybe my story isn’t meant to stay hidden after all. ❤️

Today, I left Mass with more than Scripture, I left with an invitation.

An invitation to stop hiding my light.
An invitation to remain teachable.
And perhaps… an invitation to begin writing the story that I once believed wasn’t special enough.

Because maybe it was never about how special my story is.

Maybe it’s about how extraordinary God is through every chapter of it. ✝️🙏

Oh Sonia… now Genesis 2:22 is one of those verses that makes people who love the number 222 smile. 😊🐝

“Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib He had taken out of the man, and He brought her to the man.”

This verse is part of the creation story where God creates Eve and brings her to Adam.

* It speaks to companionship, connection, and not being alone.

💛 God’s Provision

* Adam didn’t create the solution himself; God provided it.

Why Many People Connect This to 222

While the verse wasn’t originally numbered “2:22” when Genesis was written, many believers find meaning in the themes it contains:

Given how meaningful 222 is in your life and in The Art of Believing 222, this is a beautiful question.

The short answer is: the Bible does not specifically identify “222” as a special number, and there is no verse that says “222 has a divine meaning.” The chapter and verse numbering system was added centuries after the Bible was written.

However, many people who see 222 frequently connect it with biblical themes because of the significance of the number 2 in Scripture.

Biblical Symbolism of the Number 2

Throughout the Bible, the number 2 often represents:

* Witness and testimony
* “By the testimony of two or three witnesses every matter shall be established.” — Deuteronomy 19:15
* Unity and partnership
* “The two shall become one flesh.” — Genesis 2:24

🐝💛 Meet Hopey 💛🐝

This little bag wasn’t part of my plan… but then again, neither was cancer.

Over the last few months, I faced a difficult decision. The ureter that carries urine from my kidney became obstructed, causing my kidney to back up and placing my health at risk. After trying stents and dealing with pain, discomfort, surgery and challenges that affected my daily life, I chose a different path.

This is Hopey, my nephrostomy bag.

He may not be glamorous, but he is a lifesaver. 🌻✨

Hopey reminds me every day that sometimes healing doesn’t look the way we imagined. Sometimes strength comes in the form of tubes, bags, scars, and difficult choices. Sometimes hope arrives disguised as something we never wanted but desperately needed.

As a Stage IV ROS1+ lung cancer survivor, I’ve learned that thriving isn’t about having a perfect body. It’s about adapting, believing, and continuing to live fully despite the obstacles.

So today, I choose gratitude. 🙏💛

Grateful for modern medicine.
Grateful for another chance.
Grateful for Italy on the horizon. 🇮🇹✈️
Grateful for every sunrise.
Grateful for Hopey.

I believe that every challenge can become part of our story, not the end of it.

✨ Believe.
✨ Align.
✨ Receive.

Hey everyone! I wanted to take a moment to share some insights about PET scans and the tracer F18, which play a crucial role in cancer detection and monitoring.

A PET scan (Positron Emission Tomography) helps doctors see how organs and tissues are functioning. It uses a special tracer—often F18—to highlight areas of concern in the body.

💊 **F18 Tracer**
F18 is a radioactive substance that provides images of metabolic activity. This means it can help identify cancer cells and track how well treatments are working!

✨ **Personal Journey**
On a personal note, I’m praying that my new medicine, telatrectinib, has been effective in tackling this cancer over the past two weeks. I’m hopeful that my kidney stent will be coming out soon, too!
