The countdown is ON for the Class of 2026!

As a former high school teacher, I know just how packed & special this time of the year is! I hope all the teachers & staff that have gotten these kids to this stage just know how loved, valued, appreciated, and supported they are. Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! ♥️🎓🍎📚✏️

Some of the most meaningful parts of your story have paws. 🐾
The quiet moments, the unconditional love, the way they’re always right there beside you—your family wouldn’t be the same without them. And your photos shouldn’t be either. 🤍

I am eternally grateful for the families who welcome me back year after year. Watching your stories unfold, your families grow, and your lives change is such a privilege—but even more than that, it’s the relationships we build along the way that stay with me.

Getting to know you, your children, and your fur-babies on a deeper level is what makes this so much more than a job. It’s a calling and an honor to be trusted with your memories, time and time again. 🤍

In the last two days, I’ve seen photos I’ve taken shared in memorial posts (or have heard that clients wished they would've had a certain loved one in their photos). As heartbroken as I am for these families, I am also incredibly humbled to have captured a small chapter of their story.

Whether it’s professional photos or not, let this be your reminder to slow down, be present, and take the photo. The kids are running around and want their stuffed animals in the shot—let them. Your dog is making their way into the frame and getting fur on you—perfect. Invite them (or I will) :)

I promise you, one day you’ll look back and be instantly taken to that exact moment, frozen in time.

I’m excited to share that I’ve moved to a new gallery platform to give you an even better viewing and downloading experience. 🤍

All galleries that are less than 6 months old will be reuploaded to the new platform free of charge. You don’t need to do a thing — I’ll take care of it and send over the updated link once it’s ready.

If your gallery is older than 6 months (with the exclusion of 2026 seniors) and you’d like it reuploaded to the new platform, I’m happy to do so for a reupload fee. Just reach out and I’ll send you the details.

As I am beginning to wrap up the year, I’ve been looking back at all the beautiful moments I’ve had the honor to capture. Many galleries have stayed online far longer than required — some date all the way back to 2020! It’s been such a joy knowing you could revisit those memories, and for me to relive them too. ♥️

With the new year approaching, all galleries older than six months will expire at the end of November 2025. This goes for all galleries prior to May 2025.

If you still need to download your images, please do so before the end of the month.

If your link is still active from a session that was prior to May 2025, that means your gallery was not previously deleted from my delivery platform.

Tomorrow marks another year of Captures by Kristen Photography. 8 years! 🥹

Christmas time is hereeeeee ❤️🎄

I'm soooo thankful for my couples! To be trusted on their wedding day is such an honor. There are no words that express the gratitude I have when I am invited to photograph their special days after their wedding day.

Maddie + Jarett were one of my couples in 2022. I had the privilege of capturing their precious baby boy when he was a newborn. Today we explored and adventured to one of my favorite locations with their sweet little boy & his bestest big brother.

I am feeling so thankful. ❤️
