Witchy things in progress!
As I am sure a couple of you have noticed, I have been in full blown gypsy mode all summer. Yesterday's trip to the Hoodland Farmers Market inspired me to create something tasty.
I picked up these beautiful (and giant) Liberty blackberries and fresh tulsi (holy basil) from my favorite farmers.
While the majority of the herbs went in my dryer for tea (and the berries straight into my mouth), I kept some aside to make a glycerite.
Tulsi is renowned for its ability to help the body process stress, and just give you a overall good feeling. It can also help boost the immune system and help with digestion. Plus, it just tastes lovely.
I added the blackberries mostly for the flavor profile, but they do add some antioxidants as well.
I can't wait to taste how this turns out!
It's so nice to have little bottles of extracts when I am on the road and feel like my body needs a little boost, and takes up a lot less room than carrying all my tea ingredients.
Thank you to my friends at Hood Hills Farm for providing such beautiful ingredients.
