Strawberry picking with my grandson for the very first time!

This was a tradition with my kids when they were little. Excited to carry it on with him.

He ate his first strawberry fresh from the field yesterday. I'm not sure which one of us ended up with more on our shirt.

Snowflake went and paid a visit to my friends at Page's Mt Hood Auto and Tire to get her oil changed, AC recharged and inspected otherwise while it was up on the lift.

Bad News - She has a bad AC line that needs to be replaced and is a discontinued part.

Good News - I seem to have tracked the part down at a junkyard in Portland. So, I am making a field trip to town.

Otherwise, she got a clean bill of health and is ready for the road.

I guess I will be driving with the windows down until she's blowing cold air again.

Here's how the bed in Snowflake is coming along!

I found a bed frame on Marketplace for $60. Only issue? The legs had been cut down to fit in a CRV.

D made some risers out of scrap wood and we are testing them out to make sure they don't need any tweaks before he adds the finishing touches.

I added a piece of 6 inch upholstery foam I picked up on Amazon for around $40. I will be adding a waterproof mattress cover to protect it from moisture.

I have seen these bed frames going for anywhere from $300 to $700 and beyond. That doesn't even include a mattress this thick.

So far, I have about $100 in to this bed. All the bedding came from my camping gear and other stuff I had laying around.

Today's van adventure -

Took her to the Hoodland Farmers Market for breakfast with a friend and get some new bling for the camping gear!

The strawberry and vanilla cold foam brew at the new brunch stand was AMAZING and I don't drink much coffee. Paired with my breakfast sandwich from Molly.

Can't imagine a better Saturday morning on the mountain, even if it was a little damp at times.

Lots of mini projects on the van.

So far I have removed the partition so a bed fits better in the back, and added some stained glass film to the dome lights. The tapestry is temporarily hung as a divider between the cab and the cargo area.

I'm spending some time in her and seeing how things flow before I make any permanent changes.

Excited to see where the road leads, both figuratively and literally.
