What a great evening celebrating the North Point Grizzlies Track & Field team at their banquet!
This season was full of hard work, big moments, personal records, school records, state qualifiers, and memories these athletes will carry with them long after the season is over. It was great getting to celebrate the athletes, coaches, families, and especially the seniors who have helped build this program.
Thank you to everyone who made this season such a special one to capture.

Now that we’re home, dried off, and have ice on the knee, we finally had a chance to upload all the photos from today’s two races before MSHSSA called the State Track Meet due to weather. MileSplit
It was a wild day, but definitely one that won’t be forgotten anytime soon. Rain, delays, soaked gear, and athletes still giving everything they had — that’s what makes track special.

And as always, it was great seeing AJW Studio, LLC and Steve Long

What a season for the North Point Grizzlies baseball team.
Tonight may not have ended the way they hoped, but this team made history by reaching the program’s first-ever district finals appearance. That’s something nobody can take away from them.
It’s always hard watching seniors after that final game. The emotions that come with that moment are never easy to capture through a lens. The heartbreak, the pride, the realization that something they’ve poured years into is suddenly over.
But what seniors don’t understand yet is… this isn’t the end. It’s just the beginning of something beautiful.
Thank you seniors for the memories, leadership, and moments this season. And thank you, Grizzlies, for one heck of a ride.

I received a message today from an account I don’t know or recognize. No mutual friends, no real information I could see about who sent it — honestly, it almost looked like it was made just to send this message.

The message said they were “extremely disappointed” in me for not being at today's events and that “we pay your salary.”

I’ll be honest — my bank account must have missed that deposit. 😅

But seriously, I want to clear something up because so may not understand.

I am not employed by the school. I don’t receive a salary from the district, the teams, or the families. I show up to events when I’m available, when I’m asked, or when arrangements have been made for STL Media to be there. Yes all those days where I'm at an event is because I want to be there and many days I don't make a dime. I cover events where my kids are there or I want to be there.

I love covering local athletes. I love being part of these moments. I’ve spent countless hours on sidelines, in gyms, at tracks, and on fields because I genuinely care about these kids and these programs.

But I don’t owe anyone coverage of every event unless I’ve been asked or hired to be there.

The hardest part isn’t even the misunderstanding — it’s that someone felt comfortable sending a message like this to a person who is simply trying to support the community.

A simple “Hey, will you be covering this meet?” would have gone a long way.

I’ll always do my best to be where I can, when I can. But please remember there’s a person on the other side of the camera too.
