Something for couples and filmmakers alike to think about on Veterans' Day:

If you, or any of your guests are veterans, and you'd like to incorporate aerial footage in your film, please take time to find and ask service-people if they'll be comfortable having an aircraft nearby, or overhead.

Vets tend to be polite and taciturn about these things, so it's a good idea to be proactive-- please find and ask them specifically. It's a very small courtesy to perform in exchange for all they've done.

Working hard on an intro sequence for what has to be one of the most spectacular weddings I've ever filmed. As I was tinkering with the opening, it dawned on me that it would also serve as a nice little trailer.

In addition to being one of my very best friends, Kris is also my frequent shooting partner, and my most enthusiastic fellow drone-nerd / enabler.

This weekend, he married the love of his life, Kristina, and honored me by asking me to photograph it.

I couldn't be happier for them. They're both incredibly kind, sweet, decent, human beings.

They're also two of the best-looking people I know in real life. To a degree I find annoying, as the third wheel. :)

I'm so happy these two found each other. It fills me with joy to know that both of them will be well-loved and taken care of.

Super excited to start editing photos I shot yesterday at Amy and Justin's incredibly fun wedding, held on a beautiful-- and enormous! -- working horse ranch in Westcliffe, CO.

These two were far kinder, friendlier, more generous, and laid-back than any reasonable photographer could possibly hope for.

I tend to luck out quite a bit when it comes to collaborating with nice couples, and Amy, Justin and their whole crew made me especially aware of it. Everyone was truly there to support and celebrate their friends and their marriage, and it was easy to see why.

That was a GOOD bunch.

I had a fantastic time spending Saturday with David and Abria at their gorgeous wedding at The Hudson Gardens, in Littleton, CO.

Any couple that can rattle off movie quotes with the speed and alacrity of these two is instantly my friend. Their knowledge of '80s and '90s comedies is damn near encyclopedic. I loved them. :)

I had an absolute ball shooting video for a fantastic couple over the holiday weekend, despite what shaped up to be a three day thunderstorm.

The bride has asked me to keep most of the footage private, but I'm stoked to share a few frames from b-roll, aerial and landscape sequences.

I'm a HUGE fan of fog and moody lighting, so I was elated to enjoy the mysterious side of Breckenridge with awesome clients. And to make things even better, I got to work alongside my good pal and shooting partner for the event, Tage Plantell, who's just insanely talented and hard-working. What a treat!

Had GREAT FUN over at my commercial studio, Site07, this week, testing out a sweet little camera for slow-motion. Can't wait to put it to use this season!

Kisses, dancing and bouquet tosses are going to look AWESOME! :)
