There are some parts of life we celebrate loudly. And then there are the ones we hold a little closer.

Over a month ago, I had the privilege of photographing Annie with the people who had spent a lifetime loving her. Not to document an ending, but to remember a life that had woven itself so completely into theirs. The familiar touch of her fur. The way she looked at them. The place she had made for herself within their family. All the little things that feel ordinary until you realize they won’t always be there.

Maybe celebrating everything doesn’t always mean celebrating because we’re happy. Sometimes it means stopping long enough to say: you were here. You were loved. You mattered. And this life was better because you were part of it.

For Annie. 🤍

The Fenoglios 🤍

A day filled with laughter, stolen kisses, a little bit of chaos, and all those beautiful moments happening in between.

I had the sweetest time capturing the Fenoglios from a different perspective while second shooting their wedding day. There’s something special about getting to step back, watch the story unfold, and catch the moments that might otherwise slip by.

So happy I got to document a little piece of this one. 🤍

A small change in how I share my work. 🤍

I've been thinking a lot lately about photography, social media, and how quickly technology is changing what can happen to an image once it's shared online.

As a photographer, I'm trusted with some incredibly personal memories, and I've realized that responsibility doesn't necessarily end when I deliver your gallery. I can control how I photograph your family, how I edit your images, and how I deliver them to you. What I can't control is what happens to an image once I choose to share it publicly. With the continued growth of AI and how easily photographs can now be saved, altered, and manipulated, I've decided to make a small change with Joycatcher by Tanyeli.

Going forward, I'm going to be much more selective about publicly sharing recognizable photographs of younger children. This doesn't mean you'll never see them in my work, but I will be more intentional about what I choose to share and how identifiable a child is in an image. Nothing about how I photograph your family is changing. I'll still capture your babies and kiddos exactly as I always have, including their faces, personalities, expressions, and all of those little moments you want to remember. You'll still receive those photographs in your private gallery. They simply don't all need to become part of my public portfolio.

Instead, you may see more photographs from behind, little hands and feet, silhouettes, interactions with parents, partially obscured faces, softer side profiles, and other moments that still tell the story while keeping younger children less identifiable.

When it comes to teenagers and seniors, I'll continue sharing some of that work with appropriate permission. As kids get older, I also believe their own voice should increasingly be part of the decision about whether their photographs are shared publicly.

I'm not trying to tell parents or other photographers what they should or shouldn't post. This is simply a choice I've made for my own work and one that feels right as technology continues to change.

Your children do not need to be content for me to show that I'm good at my job.

Some photographs can simply belong to the people I created them for, and I think there's something pretty beautiful about that, too. 🤍

Your memories are yours first. Not every beautiful photograph needs to become part of my portfolio.

Okay, I’m clearly not over this dreamy maternity session yet. 🤍✨

Soon, a family of three becomes a family of four. But for just a little while longer, there are these moments. Mama soaking in the last stretch of pregnancy, Dad loving on his girls, and a very excited big sister waiting to meet the little person she already loves so much. 🥹

So much love waiting for you, little one. ✨

If you’ve been thinking about doing bridal portraits… this is your sign. 🤍✨

I had the opportunity to be part of this beautiful invitation-only bridal editorial at Tuscany Hill at The Springs, and goodnesssss, this entire look. 😍 The hand-painted veil, the florals, the dress, the location… everything came together SO beautifully.

Bridal portraits give you a chance to slow things down and really have fun with everything you chose for your wedding day. The dress you spent forever finding, the florals, the veil, all those little details that deserve more than a few rushed minutes on an already busy wedding day.

Give me the dramatic veil. Give me the movement. Give me the editorial moments. Give me ALLLLL of it. 😂🤍

So if you’ve been debating whether bridal portraits are worth it… consider this your sign. ✨

Last year, I photographed their wedding. This year, I got to photograph them as they wait for their newest little love. 🤍

There’s something so special about having people come back in front of my camera and getting to see how their story has grown since the last time I saw them. A wedding becomes a marriage, little ones get a little bigger, and before you know it, a family of three is getting ready to become a family of four. 🥹

Here’s to the next chapter, Coleman family. ✨

Confidence. Community. And a little pop of purple. 💜

Earlier this year, I had the pleasure of welcoming the Progressive Women’s Club into the studio for updated group and individual portraits.

I loved creating a collection that gave the organization a cohesive look while still allowing each woman’s personality to come through in her own portrait. From the classic black wardrobe to those beautiful touches of purple, this session came together so wonderfully.

It was such a pleasure photographing these ladies and creating portraits they can continue to use both individually and as an organization. 💜

One of my favorite things about weddings? The traditions that come with them. 🤍
The Monacos incorporated a Polish wedding tradition into their day with bread and a shot of vodka, surrounded by family cheering them on. 🇵🇱🥂

I love seeing the little pieces of culture, family, and heritage that couples bring into their wedding days. They're the moments that make each celebration a little different, and usually make for some pretty great reactions too! And judging by these faces, I think it's safe to say the vodka had a little kick. 😂

Congratulations again to the Monacos! 🤍

Finally sharing a few favorites from the Monacos’ wedding day. 🤍

Beautiful florals, lots of laughs, a wedding party that definitely knew how to have fun, and of course, one very handsome four-legged member of the wedding party who came dressed for the occasion. 🐾🤵

Congratulations to the Monacos! 🥂🤍
