I am hanging up my camera...
I know it hasn't been a year yet from my last post, but a peace has settled and I feel confident this is the right decision.
Months back I said... "For over 13 years I have been photographing your weddings, families and seniors and that has been such an honor. I have watched your families grow year after year for fall minis and have photographed your weddings... then your maternity sessions... and then your kids as they grow and change. I have loved documenting all of life's big and small moments!
In the time I have been doing photography our family has grown from 1 to 3 kiddos, and our schedules and lives have changed as our kids have gotten older and their lives and schedules crazier. You may have noticed that a couple of years ago I stopped taking on weddings and each year since I have limited the number of shoots that I have taken on. When my youngest started school, I realized that as much as I loved photography, I hated missing out on family time. Evenings and weekends away were just that much harder when that was the only time of day that everyone was back from school and work. "
At the time I wrote the inital post I knew I needed time to make the decision, and knew I was leaning towards hanging up the camera. As the past couple of months have gone on without shoots and editing, I have found a lot of peace in the decision to close Molly Newell Photography.
If you were a client with a still live gallery... You will have until June 1st to download your images and your re-print right releases. I will not be taking on any more shoots, and I will not be taking or fulfilling any print orders.
