I have always been the person taking the pictures, and not the one in them. I did photography in high school with a 35mm camera, and developed film in the "dark room." At that time, I appreciated the ability to look through a lens and see things with a creative eye. My friends and family have inspired me to take up photography again. Photography has always been a passion of mine, and life is too s
hort to not capture the intimate moments as memories to look back upon. As a single mom and busy professional, I have watched my children grow so quickly with little pictures in hand to look back upon. All I have are the memories in my mind of those funny or special moments with family and friends. The sad truth is...time goes by, or life gets too busy, and sometimes we forget to take a moment to reflect upon our lives, those who are in it, and remember the moments when "life was good." Looking back on pictures can sometimes give you a break from the "busy"-ness of life and help you find those "happy moments" (or people in them) that motivated or inspired you to truly live in the first place. I want the opportunity to capture those moments for people, along with exploring all the creative aspects of photography in this new digital age. As a photographer, I lean towards natural light photography and a photo-journalistic style. I like to capture them in the true essence of their emotions and interactions with one another. I believe that letting people be themselves allows them to be free to enjoy the place they are in, and helps to portray the true character of the person in thought, expression, action... telling the story of that moment. I would be honored to be your photographer and help you tell your story through pictures.
