Silence with a Pulse

About forty minutes from Tucumcari, on the way home, sits Glenrio, a state-line ghost town with a population of zero and more character than many places still full of people.I visited Glenrio during my New Mexico vacay of 2024 and it was wonderful to return! Glenrio is... a weathered apocalyptic lan...

The best stories in Tucumcari are the ones left behind.

Time to head back to Kansas! But first, some Tucumcari photos. Tucumcari, New Mexico has many abandoned and dilapidated buildings on display - a moody, haunted photographer's dream. Abandoned places that look like they whisper at night. This feels like a town with enough layers to reveal something new...

My favorite places are those that watch you back.

After missing the full effect of Quarai Salinas due to ill-mannered hours, the night would conclude at Motel Safari in Tucumcari, New Mexico, not at all by accident. Motel Safari was a favored stay from 2024's New Mexico trip and I was thrilled to be visiting again. But first, a detour to Cuervo, NM...

Arizona — Day 4 begins

Sedona gave way to Cornville, good food, foggy mornings, goats, chickens, and a kind of quiet that makes you want to stay longer than planned.

✨ Welcome to E.Y.E Horizon ✨

Midwest roots, restless spirit. Fueled by curiosity, caffeine, and the stubborn urge to explore everything — to see what slips past words.

E.Y.E Horizon is my kaleidoscope: an ongoing experiment in noticing, lingering, and chasing sparks that won’t stay put. Here you’ll find photographs, stories, and moments that stop time, whisper secrets, or simply make you pause.

📸 First stop: Arizona — a 6-day road trip full of sunrises, ghost towns, and the flickers of light that refuse to let go. Check it out on the website: www.aox5.com

If it lingers, unsettles, or whispers back… mission accomplished.

Ad Astra, in all directions.
