A little business owner rant...

Please do not book a date, ask me to work out pricing, payment plans, or discounts to help make a photoshoot happen, and then turn around and put a deposit down with another photographer after we've already spent time discussing your session.

And especially don't accidentally tag me in the photos from the other photographer's shoot. 😬

Listen, everyone has the right to choose the photographer that is best for them. I have absolutely no issue with that. We all have different styles, different prices, and different business models. What I do have an issue with is making someone feel bad for you, asking them to bend over backwards to help, work with your budget, or hold dates for you, only for you to magically be able to afford someone whose prices are significantly higher.

Just be honest from the beginning.

If your heart is set on another photographer, go with them. If you prefer their style, go with them. If that's who you want, that's completely okay! But don't have people rearranging schedules, holding dates, negotiating prices, and trying to help you out just for you to choose someone else after all of that.

As small business owners, our time has value too. The conversations, planning, quotes, and accommodations we make all take time away from our families and other clients.

No hard feelings, just a little disappointed. A little honesty and respect go a long way.

Anyway... carry on. 😂❤️

Due to a death in family we will be shut down until end of January as we navigate things and arrange things. Shoots that are on books and paid already will still go on. Thank you and see you in February.

Just saying, y’all… the entitlement lately? I’m not understanding it. 😤
If someone is giving you something for free, a please and thank you go a long way.

The short comments, the back-and-forth, the attitude like I’m supposed to bow down when I’m doing something out of kindness? Nah — you’ve got me all the way wrong.

I’ll always stand by my word, because that’s what a business with integrity does. But some of y’all really need to check yourselves. Respect goes both ways. 🙌 As a Small business I do NOT HAVE to give back as much as I do. Being off work, do you realize how much time and money is being lost to begin with for free shoots? I really do not know of many others who do, but please be respectful and mindful. I do not have a problem canceling shoots when disrespect is given to me. HAGD
