Huckleberry might be small, but he definitely knows how to work the camera.

There are no words for the heartbreak of watching your hometown burn. 💔

Over 600 homes have already been lost, the fires are still growing, and now my own parents are evacuating. My heart is with every family who has lost their home, those who are waiting and hoping, and everyone who has had to leave with only what they could carry.

Please keep the firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, and every volunteer in your prayers. They’re working tirelessly to protect lives and homes, often putting themselves in harm’s way to do it.

This photo was taken at my parents’ place last summer, and looking at it now, I couldn’t help but be reminded that even in the middle of devastation, God still leaves us glimpses of His beauty and reminders of His presence. The same God who painted this sunset and grew this lavender is with those walking through unimaginable loss.

Praying for protection, strength, comfort, and for rain. 🤍
