Before we had kids, someone told me:

Seven years in, I can say… yep, that tracks.

Victoria was a little hesitant to step in front of the camera for headshots (totally normal!). This past weekend at a cookout, someone I had just met said, “You’re the photographer, right?!”

I have to admit—it caught me off guard.

If you’re new around here, I’m in my second year of officially running this business. Photography has been a passion of mine for years, but I never quite owned the title Photographer (capital P!) until recently.

For so long, I dreamed of being a mom. I became a teacher. And when I stepped away from the classroom almost seven years ago to stay home with my boys, I tucked away that professional identity too. In fact, I’ve now officially been a former teacher longer than I ever was a teacher.

For years, I’ve introduced myself as a stay-at-home mom. And while I’m incredibly proud of that role, I’m learning to embrace the truth that I am also so much more.

This little business—and all of YOU—have helped me realize that. Thank you for inviting me to capture your families, your milestones, your businesses. You build and shape them with love and intention every day, and it’s an honor to step in and tell your story through my lens.

Here’s to owning our titles and growing into the ones we never imagined for ourselves. 💛

I checked in today with all my sweet families who have a baby milestone coming up, and it’s the best feeling to watch these little ones grow and see them in front of my camera again and again. 🥹✨

There’s something so special about capturing a baby right before they move on to their next big thing—learning to sit, starting to crawl, taking those first wobbly steps. These little moments pass so quickly, but freezing them in time means you get to hold onto them just a little longer. 💛
