I'm going to say it even though I (and her!) hate mush; she's amazing and gorgeous and so so grown up. And while I am so proud of her, I want her to still be the little kid who asks us constantly for pets and makes living room forts like it's her job. It's awesome, bittersweet and fun to do your own daughter's high school photos 🥰 😭

Ella's sister played on the same hockey team as my daughter so I already knew her and enjoyed spending time with her at the rink as she is just the sweetest person. I was so happy they asked me to photograph her senior photos and especially loved how she matched my excitement over all of the bunnies running around because I think that's one of my favorite reasons to shoot at Mary Cummings Park. 💕

Sometimes it is nearly impossible to find an available late afternoon or early evening that works for your photos. Or maybe you’re just a little shy and prefer to not have a ton of people around during your session. If that is the case, I will always suggest a sunrise session! Yes, it can be extremely difficult to get up before sunrise AND get photo ready but once you do, it’s amazing. It’s peaceful and that morning light is INCREDIBLE. Check out these images made with Finn and Bailey and their sunrise sessions. Although, in Finn’s case, we photographed in Cambridge along the Charles River so my statement about there not being a lot of people around doesn’t count here because apparently there are a lot of crazy people in this world who enjoy getting up early to exercise 😉

Spent a lovely day with the team of MacKinnon + Co creating these portraits. A big thank you to Jess and Tyler of for letting us share their beautiful space in South Boston for the first half of our session. Then it was a short ride over to Dorchester to photograph in a gorgeous penthouse unit. 💖
