📸📸📸📸Media Spotlight📸📸📸📸
I know!I missed Monday again! Holidays get me yall 😂😂
Let’s meet the beautiful Michelle Bush Photography!!
📸 Name / Business Name:
Michelle Bush/Michelle Bush Photography
🏁 What type of media do you do?
(Photography, videography, drone, social media, announcing, etc.)
Photography of any kind but mainly drag racing, race cars, burnouts, wheelies, winners, losers, families, and basically anything that catches my eye at the track. 😂📸🏁
📍 Where are you based out of?
Castlewood, Virginia but always up to dragging my husband and fur-babies with me anywhere for a good race and food 🤓
Honestly, Josh is probably more memorable than I am anyway, so if you see us at the track, you’ll probably remember him first! 🤣
🚗 How long have you been involved in racing?
I’ve been involved in the racing world for the past 5 years. Racing isn’t just about the cars for me—it’s also about the people, families, friendships, and memories made along the way.
📷 What got you started in media?
My love for capturing memories is what really got me started. I love being able to freeze those moments that happen in just a split second and give racers and their families photos they can look back on for years to come.
🔥 Favorite event you’ve covered?
Picking just ONE favorite event is basically impossible because no two events are ever the same! Every race has its own kind of chaos, excitement, crazy moments, and stories. 😂🏁
But if I have to name a few, KFR Arm Drop Dragz, Dig or Die, King of Columbus, King of the South, and No Joke No Prep are definitely at the top of my list!
🏎️ Favorite class or type of racing to shoot?
Backside racing! Give me a fast car, a good burnout, some wheelies, and a little bit of chaos, and I’m happy.
📸 Favorite photo or video you’ve ever captured?
(Include the image if possible.)
This is like asking someone to pick their favorite pet! 😂 I honestly have so many favorites. My favorite pictures are usually the ones that capture a moment you can’t recreate.
🎯 What’s one thing people may not know about being race media?
People may not realize how much goes into race media outside of actually taking the picture! Taking the pictures is the easiest part. The long days at the track, lots of walking, thousands of photos to go through, editing, organizing, posting, and trying not to miss those once-in-a-lifetime moments that happen in a split second…. While people ask “when will pictures be up?” 😂 It definitely takes a lot of time, but seeing people enjoy the memories you captured makes it worth it!
⭐ Dream event you’d love to cover someday?
Honestly… I’m taking recommendations! 😂 I’d love to travel to some new tracks, see new places, meet new people, and cover some of the biggest drag racing events out there!
Give me a media pass, my camera, a place to stand where I hopefully won’t get run over, and preferably somewhere close to good food… and I’m ready to go! 🤣🏁📸
🤝 How can people support your work?
(Tag page, website, prints, merch, etc.)
Follow and share Michelle Bush Photography, tag my page when you post my pictures, and tell your friends about me! Likes, shares, tags, and support mean more than you know! ❤️ And please don’t crop my watermark out… we can still be friends, but I’ll be slightly offended. 😂🤣 Just message me about the picture. And if anyone uses one of my pictures to make shirts, holler at me I’ll buy one using a family and friend discount 🤓
🎉 Fun fact about yourself outside of racing:
Outside of racing and photography, I somehow have a real adult job too 😂 I’m the Director of the Emergency Department, so apparently I enjoy chaos both at work and at the race track. 🤷🏼♀️🤣🏥🏁
When I’m not managing an ED, chasing race cars with a camera, or editing thousands of pictures, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our fur-babies making memories. ❤️🐾
