I'm excited to announce I'm hosting a Styled Wedding Shoot on May 16, 2021!!!!!!!
As a photographer that has participated in styled shoots, I know the importance of organization and details. The organization during this 3½ hour shoot has been well thought out. We will allow a maximum of 3-5 photographers per shooting group. Groups will rotate through each of our 5 shooting sections on a timed schedule. Each photographer will get 40 minutes per station.
Section One: Full Bridal Table
This section features a long wooden bridal table fully decorated with gold silverware, blush and burgundy flowers and greenery, vintage stemware and plates. The table will be featured on the stage below a magnificent wall of stained glass windows (photo of table will be attached). There will be a model couple with this section.
Section Two: Grand Staircase
The grand staircase features an exquisite floralscape cascading down one side of the stairs filled with greenery, pops of blush, and burgundy throughout. There will be a small area next to the stairs with a vintage velvet blue chair with other styling features perfect to pose any groom. This section will include a model couple.
Section Three: Stained Glass Windows and Grand Piano
On the second floor, there's a grand piano with breathtaking stained glass windows nearby with a vintage velvet blue couch that pairs up perfectly with the orange overcast in the venue.
Section Four: Bridal Suite
In the bridal suite will be a Mother and Daughter modeling team which will be perfect for getting ready photos. The Mother will help her daughter into her wedding dress for those intimate moments.
Section Five: Outdoor Courtyard and Cake/ Confections Inside
The courtyard is filled with a vast variety of content including: lay flat designs, florals, ring boxes, rings, lace, jewelry, vintage furniture and vintage styling items. A bridal gown will be featured hanging from the metal Juliet balcony. Just inside the doors to the courtyard is our styled coffee bar near the masculine black vintage boiler that is a historical element from the original church. Also featured in this area is the cake and confections section. The cake and sweets will be styled on vintage dressers with blush and burgundy florals mixed with greenery for a unique look.
Our models offer a variety of looks. One of our models, Jase, is a travel blogger/ influencer. Jase documents his travels with his boyfriend, Brandon, through vlogging. Jase will be featuring photographers' images on his Instagram account which has 20k+ followers. Photographers that provide him with images will be tagged, as well as vendors who helped style the section. I'll attach a couple of images for you to see some of our couples. We have two shoot times: the afternoon is 11:30am-3:00pm and the evening is 5:00pm- 8:30pm. If you’re interested in shooting for the entire 7hrs (2hr break in the middle), you can reserve both options with your deposit.
Additionally, we have an add on option available. We are offering two different lighting classes (2hrs each). A Beginners class and an Advanced class. Both classes include two backgrounds and lighting setups. We purposely made the advanced lighting class first in the day. We did this so photographers that want to shoot all day and take the advanced class can without any scheduling conflict. The beginners class overlaps with the afternoon shoot times, so we suggest those participants choose the Evening styled shoot. The advanced class is for those who have experience and knowledge of basic ocf and want to learn specific lighting patterns such as loop, split, and butterfly. The basic class will cover start to finish equipment knowledge about what to buy (pdf will be sent in advance with videos) along with how to use it and troubleshooting common problems. Anyone attending the lighting classes (6ppl max) will receive head shots. Transmitters will be provided for all camera brands. Just bring your camera and lenses!
