Spent some time today
watching one of Africa's most fascinating animals the Meerkat
(Suricata suricatta)

Despite its small size, it's constantly alert. While the rest of the group searches for food, one meerkat often stands guard, scanning the surroundings for danger. The speed at which it turns its head and reacts to the smallest movement is incredible.
Wildlife never stops reminding me that survival isn't always about being the strongest sometimes it's about being the most aware. πŸ“ΈπŸΎπŸŒΏ
