I had about 15 minutes to talk about my own life with Type 1 Diabetes, my philosophy around it all as well as and it felt like I hadn’t even scratched the surface. This video was one of multiple near death experiences 😂

After all was said and done, invited me on to the Risely Podcast where I got to share so much more. It’ll be out on Tuesday (March 10th), I haven’t really done this before, so it’s probably the most I’ve shared about my own life on the internet! Lol

Some of my favorite photos captured in Vietnam 🇻🇳

I brought one camera with me and it was the FX3. I wanted to keep my load light on the motorbike and even though it’s deemed a cinema camera, I’d say it can take some pretty darn solid photos! Also paired it with the VND’s with the Helix MagLock system.

Each of these photos has a story behind it, and the beauty of a visual medium is that I get transported back each time I view them. I’d ask people if I can take a photo of them and they’d get all shy with the biggest smile and then say it was okay. I learned how to say “you look beautiful” in Vietnamese so that I could reassure people when they felt self conscious (like we all do). Seeing the look on someone’s face, especially in rural parts, when I show them a photo of themselves is such a fun part of traveling for me.

Here’s to the vast landscapes and different regions of Vietnam that I will most definitely be visiting again!

Three weeks of riding a motorcycle solo through Vietnam. What a freaking time. Definitely one of my favorites for so many reasons.

There’s so much I want to share from here, but for now, here are a few moments, faces and landscapes that I had the pleasure of riding through and getting to experience.

If I’m being honest, two weeks wasn’t enough to explore North Vietnam, let alone my ambitious original plan of doing the whole country in 3 weeks 😂

I felt a bit rushed, didn’t get to stay in any area for more than one night.

It was literally drive during the day, find a place to sleep and eat, wake up, pack up the bike and do it all over again.

It was unbelievably beautiful, and I 100% will be going back (maybe for the warmer season).

But one of the things I love most about traveling is getting to spend time in one place, meeting people, experiencing the different aspects of culture within a country.

And that becomes extremely difficult when you’re on the go.

Traveled with the duffle and 35L camera backpack, and boy did those bags endure all of the elements. Can’t recommend them enough.

Over the last few months I’ve been using the Ultra 7, and it’s been an absolute joy to use.

With all the tools you could need built in, as well as the new rugged build and a bright 2300 nit screen, you can take this thing anywhere.

I personally prefer a 7-inch monitor, but the Ultra 5 carries similar specs if you were to prefer that route.
