A brand is also the people growing inside it.

Two years into building Optimism Barbershop , Mitch isn’t interested in having a team that simply works for him. He wants them to grow with him, find their own path, and maybe one day build something of their own.

For me, this is what a living brand looks like.

Not something created for the camera, but something already happening every day through the craft, the people, and the philosophy behind it.

Sometimes the best way to understand how kids see the world is simply to hand them a camera.

During Dylon Feyen class, we asked them to slow down, look around, take a photo, and tell us why they chose it.

With Your story, told by you. in their hands, the camera became part of the experience: simple, playful, and a new way for them to explore what catches their eye.

Same place. Same camera. Completely different ways of seeing.

Maybe creativity starts there: noticing something everyone else walked past.

What do you see?

When was the last time you painted just for yourself?

As adults, we get so used to making time for everything else that creating something with no pressure or expectation can start to feel unfamiliar.

That’s what I like about watching Dylon Feyen adult painting sessions. It’s not only about learning how to paint. It’s about slowing down, trying something, asking questions, getting a little stuck, and finding your own way through it.

For some, it might be the first time holding a brush in years. For others, it might be a chance to look at their work from a different direction.

Sometimes you don’t need a big reason to create.

You just need the space to begin.

For two weeks, Same Medium, Different Cultures transformed Rapid Photo Studio into a place for ceramics, tea, stories, and meaningful connections.

This is how I see House of 84 not simply as an exhibition platform, but as a bridge connecting artists, cultures, and communities across borders.

I’m building the kind of space I once wished existed for artists like us: a place to be seen, supported, and connected through real human stories.

This ceramic exhibition was one small beginning of that vision.

Thank you to Robert, Denny Morantes Carlos Torres , and everyone who became part of this chapter.

From Hanoi to Toronto, this is the house I am building.

A little postcard from our getaway.

Disconnecting from the noise, reconnecting with nature, and finding peace in the simple family moments we often rush past.

More than an exhibition.
It was a gathering of culture, community, friendship, and the quiet power of photography bringing people together.
I’m truly grateful to everyone who came to celebrate this special evening with Marc and me. To our friends, artists, neighbours, vendors, and everyone who walked through the space, thank you for being part of this moment.
Seeing people gather, talk, laugh, connect, and witness the work together reminded me why this space exists. Rapid Photo Studio is growing into more than a photo studio. It is becoming a home for stories, artists, culture, and community.
A big thank you to everyone who supported, contributed, and helped make the night feel alive. This is only the beginning.

Inside Carlos home, surrounded by his paintings, I found not only the artist, but the quiet rhythm of his world.

Every work on the wall felt like a trace of memory, presence, and spirit. To photograph him there was to witness the conversation between the maker and what he has made.

This is the kind of documentary work I want to keep following embracing artists, honoring their stories, and bringing their light closer to the people who need to see it.

This May, I’m honoured to present a two-person exhibition with Marc Rochette at .ca as part of Festival 2026.
My series Between Stops reflects on the quiet poetry of passing moments the pauses, the waiting, the in-between. Alongside it, Marc’s Cuba series brings us into the warmth, rhythm, and humanity of daily life.
This exhibition brings together two generations and two artistic voices, held inside .ca a space I continue to shape for community, art, connection, and the quiet conversations that creative work can open.
Exhibition: May 11–22
Reception: May 11, 6pm–9pm
Location: Rapid Photo Studio**
You’re warmly invited.
