A streak of colour through the dark.

It feels fast, electric, and a little cosmic.

I captured this image back in 2021 using the camera technique of Intentional Camera Movement also known as ICM Photography.

I duplicated, layered & rotated them in Photoshop, possibly used a filter too considering it was back in 2021 I can't quite remember the order of the process.

Soft, bright, and impossible not to smile at.

I moved the camera and let the light do what it wanted.

I wasn’t chasing a subject just the feeling of joy.

And this is what it looked like when I let it run wild.

I was waiting for the jug to boil for a coffee and started daydreaming. I looked over at the bench and noticed a couple of glass tealight holders stuffed with coloured pencils. Funny how the simplest little things can catch your eye, the colours through the glass.

Playing with movement again - I never get tired of seeing how the colours shifts and reshapes when the camera dances with me.

I do actually dance on the odd occasion, frees the body and loosens up the mind - To Be More CREATIVE.

The movements become a creation of abstract and unexpected.

This has me hooked!

It feels more like painting than photography.

I love how ICM turns simple light into these wild, swirly patterns of colour. Kinda feels like the colours are having their own party 💃

Not perfect, not planned. Only my subject matter, light & me with my camera.

Just playful movement with my camera. And honestly, that’s the fun of it.

I love how ICM lets me paint with my camera, creating something bold and free without worrying if it’s sharp or perfect.

Just energy, flow, and colour alive with a click of my shutter.

I could get lost in these colours forever.
