FAVOURITE BARS/PUBS IN LYTHAM

The local bar/pub scene has changed a lot recently so here's my current favourites!

1. The Craft House is my favourite where you'll see a lot of me. The beers are always spot on and it has a friendly, atmosphere.
2. Lytham Hop House has a decent range of locally brewed beers.
3. NIKO opened late last year and they do a decent craft beer and alcohol free range alongside excellent wines.
4. The Taps is a very traditional pub with a massive real ale and cider selection.

Aroma Chef Lancaster is the place to go for authentic Chinese food, as in food you won't normally find in the British "Chinese" restaurants.
I started off with a rib and mushroom soup followed by stir fried lamb with cumin and onion which were both lovely.
The staff were very friendly, efficient and attentive with one of them topping up my water just as I was about to ask for some more water!

I went to Kirkham & Wesham Club Day for the first time and it was like stepping back in time with its religious procession of the six local churches carrying their banners plus their affiliated schools, marching bands and the local scouts.
It's the only club day on the Fylde to be an entirely religious affair.

I haven't been to Meiz Japanese Preston for a couple of years and it's still as good as it's always been.
The food is delicious and excellent value for money!
I had the roast duck katsu curry (you add the katsu sauce yourself) and it's lovely and better still, it was only £12.
Next week, the restaurant will be known as Hazuki to avoid confusion with the shop of the same name nearby.

Dine & Desserts Kirkham have just started doing Greek food and it's really good!
I started off with the Spanakopita which is spinach and feta filo pastry followed by the kofta lamb with rice and pita and then the portokalopita which is a traditonal orange filo cake which was to die for!
