If a guest shows up to a wedding ceremony with a camera & starts taking photos…
I actually don’t mind.
In fact… I LOVE to see it.
The people who show up to your wedding mean something to you — so they mean something to me too.
I’m going to treat them with that same respect.
I love seeing people so in love with photography that they bring their gear, their curiosity, their passion to an event they’re attending just to capture sweet moments for themselves.
Beginners asking questions, former photographers reminiscing about how they used to do it, someone just excited about the art… I’m ALWAYS down to talk (just not during the important moments 😉).
The only thing I don’t love is people blocking aisles or getting in my shots of key moments. (which is actually rare for me to see these days)
But genuine interest? Kindness? Love for photography?
That’s welcome here. 💕
Maybe I’m just different but if it’s okay with the couple, bring your gear.
Sometimes you’ll catch angles I won’t. Different perspectives. Different little in between moments.
At the end of the day, it’s not about me.
It’s not about you.
It’s about them. 🤍
And if more memories are being preserved for the couple… that’s a win in my book. ✨
