I want to get back into this. I’ve missed being on camera and doing the behind the scenes editing work. I want to eventually get to the point I’m running my own mobile studio. All I need is you.

I’m ditching set prices!

When I started this, I offered all sessions under “Pay What You Want”.

People are too broke in this economy to pay buttloads of money for a few measly pieces of paper or a small set of digital images.

Maybe I’m looking at it all weird, but I think poor people need captured memories they can hang on their walls too!

So yeah, portraits are now back to how they use to be.

Well today my brains been productive.

On top of trying to figure out the diy method for my own series 100 pack film to start offering Polaroid portraits, attempting to find a specific portable VCR to tie with my vintage video camera to offer vintage style wedding ceremony videos, I busted out another camera I had in storage.

The Praktica LB. A 35mm film camera from the 1970s. A gift I once received and I’ve loved ever since. The sleekness. The edges. How mechanical it is. Physical. In your hand. In your face. It’s a solid chunk of metal and I can’t wait to try it out.

If I can start rounding up quite the load of 35mm film, I’ll start offering vintage film portraits that will have to be sent off for development. Of course unless I can set up a darkroom in my house and can figure out all the knowledge I’d need. We shall see. As of now I’m on the hunt for 35mm film!

I need help folks. I need to diy my own type 100 pack film. The glorified instant film that Polaroid and Fujifilm both used, and would not release to the public. I’m also seeing they dismantled any machines that created them before anyone could ever get their hands on it. If anyone out there knows anything about the chemical process or any links to website pointing me in any correct directions, I’d be so greatly appreciative.

I like the idea of having my own photography studio. That way I can offer backdrop portraits during convenient times like storms or cold weather. I also think it would be incredible to bring back print service like they used to do at the malls. I like to be able to edit my images so immediate printing probably won’t be available however, if I can get a shed on my property, I’ll convert it into a small scale photography studio. I’ll have the ability to print out our session images on my own, giving not only the option for digital returns but also the option for printed images! How’s that sound?
