Sunshiny Day! Acrylic paint on 8x10" canvas. I'm trying something different in between my Bird's Eye View pieces. I just started painting with acrylics and wanted to paint something colorful and to experiment. I love vibrant colors and flowers and a surreal look. This is my happy piece. ❤️

"Watch out" Blue Bird painting - #3 in my Bird's Eye View series. Watercolor 12x12. Inspired by my back yard. Although my cats are inside, there are some feral's that like to hang out and torture Tommy & Teaghan and drink out of our bird bath 😂.

Hello friends! Painting #2 of my series “Bird’s Eye View”. This is called “Pelican View”. Watercolor painting, Arches paper. I know a couple of friends who may be familiar with this beach… 😊 The next painting setting may be a lot closer to home. Keep an “eye” out for it .😁 Thanks for any comments. Welcome to the beginning of my birds and the environment paintings. Finally, a vision and inspiration came to me one night about what to paint. It was a vision and dream of birds and the effect of the environment around us. The name of my series is “Bird’s Eye View” and this is No. 1 of the series “Egret Landing”. Stepping out of my comfort zone and into the abstract! 🌀 Had the best time at the Oak Island NC Elks Lodge taking a class with local artist Cheryl Austin Hicks.

We used a bit of everything, acrylics, markers, cards, and sponges to bring these canvases to life. I absolutely loved Cheryl’s teaching style and the energy of the whole group. Can’t wait for the next one! In the meantime... feeling very inspired to keep the brushes moving at home and working on a couple of mixed media creations! Who else is feeling creative lately?

Snow memories of the past. Most of those buds can handle the winter snow events. Photo of the Magnolia tree bud in my front yard a few years ago. We don't miss shoveling the snow but sure miss the beauty of the day after the snow storm.

Title: Thimble Rocks
9x12” Oil pastel painting.
One of my favorite subjects, “Cut-In-Two Island” with the famous Stony Creek pink granite. It is part of the Thimble Islands archipelago off Stony Creek, Connecticut.
Painted from My reference photo taken on a Summer day on the water with friends in 2011.
