In my new mixed media series, I explore the harmony between blooming and decay. The works feature flowing lines of stems, fragments of flowers, and delicate, paper-like leaves. Over the past 10 years, I have increasingly focused on integrating natural
elements into my art. Previously, I primarily used graphic elements such as
illustrations, photography, and typography, inspired by the urban envi
ronment. After moving to a village surrounded by nature, my focus shifted. I began incorporating floral patterns from wallpaper, fragments of flower arrangements from classical paintings, my own photography, and scans of leaves into digital textures. This gave my work more depth and emotion. In the series Floral Decay, I combine graphic work, photography, and
collage. I design the composition digitally, transfer it onto canvas, and further develop it with textures, acrylic paint, and oil pastels. I then varnish the work and apply metallic gold paint to the craquelure areas. My artworks have found their way to art lovers worldwide and are
available in various formats through my website: www.teisalbers.com
