Another fanatic day! How did I get so lucky?? This time I was at with my girl photographing the lovely . I have known Kathryn since grade 9 and to work together today and create content for her super successful business was a dream. Can’t wait to share allllll the content we created!

Ouuu I loved today. The sun was shining at .ca and I got to work with this lovely group of women again and capture their headshots!

Before these photos happen, there’s always a mom who made them possible.

She’s the one who found the outfits.
Got everyone dressed.
Packed the bag.
Got them in the car.
Got them to the studio.

And during the session, she’s just outside the frame.

Making silly faces.
Fixing hair.
Catching wandering attention.

These photos are of the kids.

But if you look closely — every sparkle in their eyes is because they’re looking at her.

She might not appear in the photograph.

But she’s in every single one.

I ask every client one question before we plan wardrobe:

What’s the fanciest you’ll go?

Sometimes there’s a pause.
Sometimes they know right away.

And sometimes, the answer is the suit.

A power suit doesn’t look the same on everyone.
For some, it’s sharp and traditional.
For others, it’s relaxed. Modern. Unexpected.

Whatever version is yours, that’s the one.

When that’s the choice, we lean into it.

Clean lines.
Strong shape.
No overcomplicating it.

Just letting it speak for itself.

Most clients don’t walk in confident — they walk in unsure.

Unsure how they’ll look.
Unsure what to do.
Unsure if they’ll feel comfortable.

My job is to remove all of that.

Which is why almost every session ends the same way:
relief, laughter… and “That was easier than I thought

Over the last little while I have been photographing maternity sessions more and more. What I love about these sessions is actually the work that is done before the session even happens. The conversations that I have with these women are very special and I spend a lot of time listening to how they’re feeling emotionally, how they feel in their bodies, and how they want to be captured at this time. This shoot was a great experience especially because I have worked with Tawny many many times over the years creating content for companies. But this time she called me with a personal project and I was delighted to be able to capture this special time in her life. Tawny smashed the wardrobe, the sun was shining that day and .ca was the perfect environment.

Yup! Let’s do it! Today is miserable out, time to sprinkle a little happiness around. Branding session? Family session? DM me! This is what a corporate headshot day looks like in action. I photographed multiple employees back-to-back, keeping everything efficient while still giving each person direction, reassurance, and a polished final image they’re proud to use across LinkedIn, email signatures, and internal profiles.

Did you know I shoot content for restaurants and hotels? True story. I get to go to these lovely spaces with beautiful food and beautiful people and capture the essence of the business. What I love most about this is, it’s a challenge. I’m not capturing moments that are happening. I’m given the space, the food, and the people and creating these moments.

Ouuu what a great day!! The mini session day was awesome!! Absolutely loved seeing all of the lovely people today, some new clients, some clients I have worked with many many times. Big shout out to for making the day so perfect. The light, the staff, the setting, such good vibes. Until next time!
