Behind a large portion of Android detection in the past four months was 'GB ' account to the report by firm . Such malicious apps have a wide range of spying capabilities, including recording audio & video.

India is among the countries with highest number of Android trojan detections and a cloned, third-party unofficial version of WhatsApp is leading in spying on people's chats in the country.

Example :
USER 1 (message sent) --> GB Server --> Official WhatsApp Server --> USER 2 (message received)

So GB stores your data on their server and will automatically decrypt your messages including video/audio calls & sent videos/audios.
