sony addict. 61mp. how can you compare with that? ! I enjoy taking pictures of anything I can point my camera at. I always found it frustrating that in order to be seen as successful in the photo industry, you had to limit your subjects. enjoy the photos. I certainly enjoyed taking them. I'm not here to sell anything... yet. maybe someday.

I want my photos to be the evidence after I die (hopefully a long time in the future) showing that I lived. Thank you to all the producers that have been wonderful enough to let me be part of the insanity of their fantastic shows. Thank you to the performers for their love of the art and the work and sweat that they put into these moments under the lights. Thank you for the audience that share these special moments and create their own energy that the performers feed off of. And thank you to the wonderful locations that will always be part of my memories.

It's too easy these days to turn on the news and get sucked into the trauma of the world. It's important to remember to love this life and enjoy the moments that we have now.

I will always enjoy this journey into my insane life.

This week was a type of renewal for me. I have worked at the Bellagio spa for 20 years. The week I got my 20 year pin, I got news that the spa was closing for 9 months for renovation. It is showing its age and needs a facelift. Kinda like myself. I'm one of the lucky ones that got their lives disrupted minimally. I'm still working in the temporary spa and staying busy enough to keep me out of trouble. And all of you know how much I love trouble.
I started this photographic journey as a type of therapy. I found myself getting caught up in the drama of the workplace. (Us Massage Therapists are Artists, dammit! You can't tell me what to do!) I found I could stay in my massage room on slow days and just concentrate on the photos and learn. Every new hire that came through got the same advice: Find a hobby.
I wanted to post these that I collected through the years as I got to practice in this beautiful place. It is going to be really odd going into a new place after all the ghosts of the past. (Still miss you Jeff)

I truly love this show. And I have to say craig the lighting guy hits it perfectly. The lighting guys in this type of work never get the spot light because they are always behind it making the magic happen. I love the talent in this town.

I love babes and blues. Everytime I go, I feel like I'm walking into a room of friends. I will treasure everyone there as long as they are in my life. Whether it is years of seeing them again and again or if this is the only night I get to talk to them, I will treasure it. Thank you all for the memories.

I ain't dead. Just been crazy after a house purchase and being crazy busy at work. Add in a teenage daughter in high school, and you got a minimal amount of sleep. If anyone thinks they know me, they can recognize the control issues and the drive to always be doing something. Unfortunately owning a house creates a list that never ends and always evolves.
These are the Jiggle room photos from august and you should really go see it tomorrow night. I might be there if I can carve out a minute. I hope to be there.

Another wonderful trip down to escape the world. Sorry I haven't posted for a while. I've been battling a mental funk and all I can say is depression sucks and it just creeps up and you don't even know it sometimes. I've still been shooting but sometimes social media just saps the soul.

It flooded the week before and I was really worried about the quality of photos this trip. Then I realized I could just shoot in black and white and no one would see the brown water but it cleared up beautifully. The recharge definitely helped my energy.

Less than half a year till halloween. Being a Scorpio, It has always held a special place in my heart. I remember the goth club up in Utah where I grew up and this brought me back to where I belong. A house of sin and desire. Thank you, You have my love and can't wait for the next one. you put on such a wonderful production.
