⚾️📸 There’s something special about the first day of Little League—fresh chalk lines, crisp uniforms, and the kind of excitement you can’t quite put into words. The fields come back to life, filled with nervous energy, big smiles, and dreams that feel just a little bit bigger today.

Every swing, every catch, every cheer from the stands tells a story. It’s not just about the game—it’s about early mornings, supportive parents, new friendships, and the quiet moments in between plays that often say the most. The way a player adjusts their cap before stepping up to the plate, the determined look in their eyes, the laughter in the dugout—these are the memories that last far beyond the final score.

Opening day is where it all begins again. A clean slate, a new team, and a season full of possibility. Some of these kids are picking up a glove for the first time, while others are chasing big goals they’ve been dreaming about all year. But for all of them, today is about showing up, giving it their all, and loving every second of it.

Grateful to capture these moments—the ones that families will look back on years from now and remember just how it all started. Because one day, these fields will be quieter, the uniforms will be packed away, but the memories made here will never fade.

Back in November, we experienced the loss of my father-in-law, a man who meant so much to all of us. In the quiet ways that love continues, we wanted to create something lasting—something deeply meaningful that could be felt and cherished for years to come.

Last week, I thoughtfully planned a special photo session, not simply as a gift, but as a heartfelt tribute for Tee. Through my lens, my intention was to capture more than just images—I wanted to preserve connection, memory, and the enduring presence of someone so deeply loved.

To make this tribute even more personal, Jaxon wore a jersey that Tom Tom had given me many years ago, along with his hat—small but powerful pieces that carry his spirit and legacy forward. These details made each image even more significant, weaving together past and present in a way words often cannot.

Just as Mima is beautifully remembered through daffodils, we chose tulips to symbolize Grandpa Tom Tom—each bloom representing love, remembrance, and the lasting imprint he has left on our hearts.
