SPRING RAIN.
Can you hear the leaves drinking up the rain?
giving the underneath ones just a droplet as it overflows.
Then the sun comes out again, showing diamonds of light ,
sparkling in the highlight glow.
Holding on to the treasures that nature has made,
having perhaps the better claim,
as they shine with a grandeur,
while the ones that are overshadowed
have now dried to a drowsy glaze.
hush listen!
The heavy night hangs dark ,
but the moonlight captures the sparkle,
as the sun bids its farewell.
Mirroring like fallen stars
and twinkling in a hushed silence,
through the starry velvet of blackness,
while the others fade away as clouds get in their way.
Absorbed into the darkness as they tremble,
in the coldness of the nights breeze.
Shhhh! hear them?
Those sheltered sturdily remain.
between the stalks as they gleam and bloom,
like an angels feather with diamonds as their crowns,
till the sun comes out from its rest
to a dawning of a brand new day,
and the raindrops dried so they look all the same.
equal under the sun to the breath of natures claim,
as they dance in unison to the soft air breeze
Happy to have weathered the storms on their own,
but not on their own, with their different ways..
Now singing and whistling.
