Hello everyone!

I hope this post finds you well 🙏☀️ I have some big news to share with you all. After what has been a really difficult start to 2023 for me and my family, I have decided to relocate from Cape Town back to Durban.

This move is an important step for me and my family, and I am excited to start this new chapter in our lives. While I will miss Cape Town dearly, I am eager to explore all that Durban has to offer. 💕

For my Cape Town clients, please rest assured that my services will still be available as I plan on making a few trips for shoots and to see my friends and family here, however, availability will be very limited for this.
Once settled into my new home I will open up bookings for my Durban clients who I have missed so much throughout the past 10 years that I have been in Cape Town.

I do plan on being back in Cape Town in a few short years ✨ so this is not a goodbye, but rather an "I'll see you again, soon"

Sending you all my love and well-wishes

- Alida & Stefan Baby Bump -
I knew the second that I met Alida & Stefan that this was going to be the sweetest baby bump session. Honestly, they are one of the most down-to-earth couples I have ever met. They radiate warmth and kindness and I have no doubt that their little boy is going to have an incredible set of parents.
We spent our session chatting about how we were all from small towns and how different life is 'in the city'. I really enjoyed my time with these two and I was thrilled to receive a photo once their little boy was born 💙

Here's a look at their Baby Bump Session last year

- Elzette Turns 40 -
Elzette grabbed the opportunity to sn**ch up one of my offers last year and I was so glad that she did! We spent the session speaking mostly about the fact that I DID NOT believe she was turning 40... (I was ready to pull out a notepad and take down some tips on her anti-aging regime.) And we spoke about the professions she and her husband were in.
Elzette's husband works in the ICU of a burn unit here in Cape Town and Elzette works in the NICU. These literal earth angels live to serve and care for those who are facing uncertainty, pain, and fear.
A job many of us just aren't able to do. I was so inspired by my time with them and in awe of the lovely souls that they are.
Elzette, you don't look a day over fabulous and I am so glad I got to document this milestone with you!
Here are a few of my favourites from this session.

P.S. If you are ever considering booking a photoshoot 'just' to celebrate who you are or celebrate your life - you need to absolutely do it! There are more reasons to do it vs not to. And boy am I here for that kind of energy. Life is for celebrating, friends 🙌🍾🥂

It's been a while since I've shot a wedding. Truth be told, I haven't been taking many weddings on due to my busy schedule in the marketing world.
However, when Alvin contacted me and told me about his elopement idea, I just had to get on board. The brief was simple - beautiful photos of an intimate elopement with some photos of Table Mountain in the background.
Soaked in some golden sun, we set out to capture the sweet memories of this incredibly special occasion. Gaone & Alvin were such a dream to work with, along with their sweet boys!
This couple and family were easygoing and just so much fun. I felt like I had known them for years.
Here are a few of my favorite moments with them

Family photos are so special to me. I just love watching a family grow and grow up, infront of my lens. Forming a relationship with my clients has not only been important to me but so enjoyable too. When the session starts off with us reminiscing on past shoots and a catch up on life - it just makes the overall experience so rewarding and special.

Here are a few photos of Gail, Kyle, and their boys. Although this was a part of a big family shoot, it was great to grab a few shots of the four of them together again.

Being a photographer means that I often get to document the milestones in my family and friends' lives.

One of these occasions is when I got to photograph my best friend's engagement!

There’s a heartfelt story behind these beautiful yellow-soaked photos. If you’d like to hear it, read on xx

When Cayleigh moved from Cape Town to Mossel Bay, I was so sad that we wouldn’t always be around for the ‘big moments’ in each other's lives. I mean sure, we have WhatsApp video calls and endless voice notes but it’s never really the same as being there in person when you want to celebrate those milestones together.

Last year, Zach (Cayleigh’s Fiance’) reached out to our group of friends to let us know that he was planning on asking Cayleigh to be his forever person. We were over the moon with the news! It just so happened that Cay’s Birthday was coming up at the time so we started to plan our own top-secret mission to surprise our girl.

Myself, Kerry, and Dev (the best friends) loaded up our cars on a Friday afternoon with padkos and an endless list of road trip songs and set off on our 6-hour drive to Mossel Bay to surprise Cayleigh with a visit for her birthday and to help Zach pull off the ultimate surprise proposal.

We snickered as we planned our sneaky entrance. She had no idea at all that on a quiet Friday night on their farm, the three of us would roll up. We drove through the gates as quietly as possible and dimmed our lights. As we got closer to the house, we all jumped into the same car and got into position. We decided an entrance song was in order so we opted for the infamous white chicks hit track - “A Thousand Miles”. Quite fitting because by that point it felt like it had we had been driving for the longest time.

With our song on full blast, and the three of us hanging strategically out of the windows of the car we pulled up in front of their house. I’ll never forget the look on Cayleighs face - a combination of surprise and pure excitement. And Zach’s face? A humble smile knowing that he managed to pull off the first surprise.

We spent the night chatting away and catching up before leaving for our overnight accommodation. We convinced Cay that we should have brunch in the morning with all the friends, but little did she know it was all part of the plan.

The next morning we arrived back at the farm to set up brunch. We decorated a table with flowers, champagne, and delicious food. As the table was set, so was the scene!

We told Cay that we had prepared a birthday song for her along with sign boards saying happy birthday. I know what you’re thinking - a little odd or maybe a bif of a giveaway? But not with our group of friends. Anything goes with the four of us, especially an impromptu song and dance! We got Zach to join us in the lineup as we stood in front of her, ring in his pocket and a nervous glimmer in his eyes. As the birthday song ended, their favourite song began to play from the car and slowly we flipped each signboard over to spell out “Will You Marry Me”. Ofcorse by this time tears were flowing from every set of eyes and she gave him a big YES!

The rest of the day was spent celebrating their engagement around the table and after copious amounts of champagne, belly laughs, and a few photos of all of us together, we made our way down to the canola fields to take some pictures.

Although tipsy on champagne and drunk on pure happiness - we managed to get these beautiful photos of Zach, Cayleigh, and Zeus.

Needless to say, this shoot is one of my favourites because of the story behind it all. And this is exactly why photographs are so important. Photos are like a little gateway to a memory. It keeps those moments alive as it freezes time for just a few seconds. I’ll cherish these forever as I am sure they will too
