When I received the offer for this project, I was introduced by a friend to Kohei, a professional snowboarder. For very personal reasons, I had recently moved back to Japan with my family, and during that time I held a quiet, private goal: to go back to riding in the mountains in Japan.These two circumstances naturally shaped the direction of this project.

Being part of Creator Labs gave me the chance to return to the mountains of Japan, and to ask more from this landscape, this journey, my phone, and myself

This work is a record of our journey up Mt Tokachi, using Google Pro XL with Pro Controls shared by Kohei and myself, within the same time and place

10 Photographers & Union Magazine

In collaboration with ten photographers we deeply admire, we have brought to light a selection of previously unseen works and produced a series of ZINEs, edited through UNION™’s distinct perspective.

To mark the release, an exhibition will be held at Rodin in Daikanyama. Throughout the exhibition, visitors are welcome to view the works freely, and a limited number of the ZINEs will also be available.
