It is about seizing, savouring and cherishing the love and beauty that encapsulates the moment. Natural and real - that precious second that will never exist again only within the photograph. I find breastfeeding to be so fascinating. I love the bond it creates, the journey, the ritual.
Gazing into your babies eyes
The twirling of mums hair.
The constant wriggling and legs and feet moving.
The pinching and touching of mums skin.
The connection and closeness and comfort.
Such a safe space and I completely understand the difficulty and sadness involved in those final days.
I fed Lucy for just 3 moths before my milk dried up. It was 2009, I was a 24 year old that looked 16. I fed hidden away, I hated being in public with eyes upon me, I always felt judged by passers by. I never felt confident. I think my own experience is what fascinates me most, seeing such a beautiful connection between a mum and their child is just so awe inspiring.

A recent multigenerational session in their truly magical home. I was so intrigued to hear about this magnificent renovation to have a home built upon a home. 2 unique spaces reflecting perfectly the wonderful humans that live within the walls. A creation I honestly admire and envy, I wish more families could raise their children surrounded by generations of family.
At home photography has always been at the centre of what I most love when capturing families. The home is the most intimate space where everyone is free to be themselves, where the guard is down and everyone is comfortable, we can move together through spaces filled with parts of you and what you love. Your art, your books, your heirlooms, your treasures. It’s so personal and special and I
truly thank anyone that has ever invited me into your home to photograph your family. It is the greatest privilege and I honestly at times can’t believe I’m so lucky to call this wonder my “job” ✨

The past week feels like an absolute whirlwind!

Mentoring with my beautiful client turned sweet friend and we got to photograph these 2 gorgeous gals .flow.her for a very witchy, winter session! Isn’t this just so cool?? The first and last images in this series are 2 of my most favourite ever. I so love that my mentees always have such different visions and it’s just so fun bringing their ideas to life.

Then came my Femme sessions where I was so lucky to photograph 5 truly amazing women and I so can’t wait to share some of the photos from the day! I need more time to find words to describe how much It meant to me, and I’m just so proud of these special ladies for valuing themselves and doing something so raw to honour their womanhood, It took so much vulnerability and it was truly magical.

Followed by a week of wonderful sessions in that glorious sunshine we had this past week.

It’s been such a long time since I last posted a studio newborn session. I’ve been so busy with gorgeous outdoor sessions from summer!
I’m now looking forward to spending some slow time soaking up some newborn love in the studio over winter. Aren’t they the sweetest family?

I’m back after a lovely long weekend 🌺
Feeling ready and rearing to go and excited to share this recent session with you. Such a beautiful summer session at home - from snuggles in bed to hanging out in the garden. If this session makes me feel anything, it’s a longing for summer that seems has left us a little too quickly. I always say that winter arrives with Easter and here we are!

I bloody loved everything about this session.
I’m putting it out to the universe that I’d so love more shoots like this - parents with their teen / adult kids.
Such an amazing afternoon in the city. It’s funny / a dream how sometimes my creativity matches perfectly with my clients and this was just so much fun. So much love in this cute fam! ❤️
