I am currently battling neuropathy and pinched nerves. And I am battling the doctors at the VA as well for some sort of adequate treatment. Recently due to muscle weakness I have fallen quite a few times. One of the falls resulted in damage to my neck as well as broken toes. Walking is now even more perilous and painful. But worst of all I cannot hold a pen or brush and control the strokes and lines. I don't know when this will be resolved. Until such time I cannot draw or paint. I don't like this. Creating art is what keeps my demons at bay. Here are the last two paintings I completed. I will have to let these satisfy me for now.

Finally a painting this year that I started this year. The usual winter creativity block plus this year is added lots of pain to work through from gangrene in my right foot. The pain has become bearable so my creativity has sparked a bit.

It's been a couple months I reckon since I actually painted something. I've doodled a bit but it's not the same. I'll return with new art soon I hope. I am suffering, and I really mean suffering and struggling with vascular troubles in my right leg. Arteries were cleaned and stents inserted from my heart to my knee they tell me. It's all very painful and doctors don't seem to understand someone else's pains. I will return to the VA hospital soon and hopefully put an end to these vascular woes and the pain that comes with gangrene. My toes cause me to scream out from the pain at times and it's quite an ordeal right now. I renamed my toes according to number.... Rotting Flesh Number One, etc. To keep folks interested while I wait for this flesh to be cured and the pain to be eliminated I'll post one or two things weekly that I've completed in the past so this page doesn't get boring. :)

From 2001, "The Barbarities Continue" and they still do, don't they... this is a large painting for me, about 4 ft. x 3 ft. not real sure about the exact dimensions. It looks really cool in a darkened room with a black light shining on it. I no longer am in possession of this painting that was a lot of fun to paint.
